I know that some may believe that I am taking the Allams side, or seeing it from that side. The fact is that I was very upset at the time. But there was a different side to the story which wasn’t told by the HDM. I didn’t find this out from the club or anyone linked to the owners. I found out from some of the people involved including at least one who had to find a new venue for their activities. I do think you may misunderstand something about me. I really do believe in community ownership of clubs and stadiums. I have tried my best to stop something like the evictions from happening again. I don’t sit back, I don’t protest, I try to introduce change. Personally I put my money where my mouth is and ask for nothing in return. I do not represent supporters, I present their views when asked. I don’t meet with the club and I never have or desire any contact with the owners now or in the future. It’s not my thing. I don’t even like meeting players really, but have had some great conversations with some of their Dads! I enjoy the chats and relationships that I have with some ex players. Last time I was in the arena bar, I interviewed Tom Wilson and the thing that stood out for me was that when he spoke, the whole bar went quite and everyone listened, it made the hairs on my arms stand on end. Your post was not upsetting for me to read, I am used to it. Rics post was the first time that I can recall someone being supportive of me in that way personally and to be honest, it was an emotional read. I get my reward in the words of thanks that I receive every now and again. I don’t look for any other reward at all and certainly do not seek recognition.
I have had tinnitus for over 45 years. Rifle fire apparently whilst in the Army. It destroyed part of my hearing. I have a high pitched ringing that centres at the back of my head. The only time I can’t hear it is when I am scuba diving and have equalised my ears from the pressure.
But the discussion wasn't about you, your involvement, your dedication, or whatever. I don't get why you've turned it into being about you!t It was all about the Allams and their despicable hijack etc. The fact that someone put a lot of effort into trying to help the evicted after the event hardly represents another side to the story. There should never have been a **** show to try to clear up. It should never have happened in the first place as it did.
I can't put a date on when mine started. I have different tones. I don't notice it during the day because noises mask it. It's always there when I got to bed and there is no other noise. For years I thought that high pitch noise was what silence was. I was really surprised that other people couldn't hear it. For those of you who are old enough to remember, it sounds like the noise televisions made after the programmes finished. I think loud music in my youth and teaching drama caused it.
I’m in the tinnitus club too. One too many loud gigs - think it was at Fibbers - and the ringing in my ears didn’t subside by the next morning and it never went away.
Sorry mate No...Hope everything is o.k!! Are the trains done for the night? I think there's a train that goes down through York early in the morning from Glasgow via Edinburgh?
Normally a good few lorries heading South on a Fri night/Sat morning.Alternatively there's a train leaving Glasgow Central- York at 4.24 but goes through Carlisle/Newcastle,gets you to York at 9.30.
It was my own fault for keeping Bad Company. Edit. What a life though, Manny Arms and on to Bier Kellar. Fantastic.
I have no idea why you're trying to be a patronising prick. Me and Syd were discussing the usefulness of an announcement pre match. I said we don't play infront of audiences of 1m+ often at all. I couldn't care less what sky average per game nor was it even slightly relevant when PL games heavily skew the numbers. As I said and it's in the tweet below the average audience for a tv championship games is sub 200k as that's the games we're usually televised in which makes tomorrow's game a great and unique opportunity.
