I told you it will be Thursday or Friday *Im not ITK on this at all. Just going on Baz comments that the paperwork should get submitted to EFL today and it normally takes them 48 hours to process. Also presumably he’d want to be here when it was announced so I assume he’ll fly in at end of the week, for an announcement and be there for first game against Everton **…or it will all fall through. ***I suspect he’s been reading this thread so will decide not to do a scarf on the pitch photo just to mess with us. Fair play to him
Oh it'll definitely be official Thursday or Friday with the scarf picture etc. But I wonder if we'll get something from the club today.
Well as Den said, it sounds like it'll take the EFL a day or two to ratify, but wondering if the club may do a "pending EFL confirmation" style announcement. Every extra day is more seats sold for the Cup game.
Aren't we confirmed sold yet? Please someone send me a DM when it is a done deal. Too much effort to keep wading through the waffle on here. Ta.
Why would the Club feel the need to do a "Pending EFL confirmation"? Aren't we all already aware that the Club is being bought by a Turkish bloke who's already announced it on The Turkish Voice?
Because the club hasn't announced anything yet and for plenty that may be the difference between buying a ticket for Saturday and not?
Bit shallow then aren't they ? Were at home in the FA Cup on a Saturday tea time against a Premier League side and it's reduced prices? The current owners and the potentially new owners have all said publicly that the sale is virtually over the line. Do these stay away's seriously think its a conspiracy cooked up between them both ? How about more fans turning up to show the in coming owners how strong our support is ?
I don't disagree, but I dunno if you don't do something just to spite people? Imagine if Apple decided that they weren't going to advertise a product because people knew what they were about already? Anything that can be done to whip up excitement and anticipation seems a pretty logical thing to do.
It would be quite funny if the old man put out a statement tomorrow announcing that "the club will be sold within 24 hours". Even funnier if he added something like "I told you, I never go back on my word, never"
We haven't got new owners yet, when we do, they'll buy a ticket. Plenty of time and everyone knows they'll have no trouble getting one.
How much more 'whipping up' do you need ? FA Cup at home, Saturday tea time, Premier League opposition who will bring a few, a real chance of a cup upset that has to be decided on the day, reduced prices, first home game for three weeks, and the club on the very verge of a take over ? **** me, what more do you want ?
You buy a ticket if you want to go,irrespective of who the owner is.Some will watch on T.V or not go due to Covid issues.Tickets will be available until at least Friday and most likely on the day. Why do you want some sort of ground breaking announcement?
