It was never going to be announced just before an away game; doing it before a home game, knowing that a change of ownership would almost certainly pack out the ground is definitely the play.
Yep, that's all sorted. It was never really in doubt, he's a legitimate businessman with no skeletons in his closet.
What I do find a bit strange is Urika says there is a 54 days exclusivity clause, which expires in about a week's time. Would Acun sign that and put a deposit down if he didn't know whether the EPL would give the answer on the fit and proper test before that date? Putting a deposit down, whereby an outside influence determines whether you meet the deadline or not seems a bit risky!
No. I referred to Friday because Friday is the music thread day and when I read Urika's saying it won't be long immediately thought of the Beatles song.
I assume they could put clauses in to repay for a number of reasons (not that I’ve done it, I just assume it would be logical) The exclusivity period sounds right though. Gives both sides time to get stuff done and the buyer to show real intent with a deposit that in some cases at least could be lost. Fingers crossed anyway
Just helping the page count, the only mention of a deposit being paid is on here. Yes all well and good talking of the period of exclusivity but that does not guarantee a deposit was paid.
Ok Not my area of expertise tbh I’d assumed from others a deposit was to ‘buy’ the exclusivity so he can’t get gazumped ?
