According to the Burns/Bielby interview it was. The Allams then rang the Americans and a new price was agreed. The Americans were then told the SMC would cost £6 million more. So they walked. Amazing if true.
The coaches were self-employed and were paid for their time by the parents of the kids being coached, The council were paying nothing through subsidies or anything else. The council are employing 4 coaches. So they have gone from paying nothing to paying four lots of wages and all the other associated costs of employing someone. That saves money? Claiming cuts are the reason is ridiculous.Needless to say the company Geraghty runs is associated with this.
It belies belief that, as being suggested, the Allams wanted to sell the club but hold onto the purse strings of the SMC, where on earth do they get such ideas and believe that someone investing £100m + will go for that, I was holding out the belief that, taken on face value, the talks had been suspended until September as a positive in that it allowed team strengthening without the ongoing side show of the takeover, but more and more it appears their outright greed has not only cost us the chance to have new owners, but they are unwilling to invest correctly in the team. I would be amazed if Bruce is still here come January, how on earth can he be realistically expected to compete on a level playing field, when other teams are spending double and treble the amount we have allegedly been given. I mean Peter `****ing` ODEMWINGE, give me strength ! This, as it stands, is going to be a very very long season. I have no optimism, no excitement, and no realistic hopes of us surviving, I`m just hopeful that we can achieve a better points total then that of the fated Derby side and avoid the record books of being the worst Premier League team in history. I really hope that Brucie manages to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat, but I think even he is probably hoping that something comes along and he can walk.
Peter 'take me to DQPR,' whinger.. Hal Robson-Kanu isn't a bad shout, but...FCOL a 35 year old who can't break into the Bristol City side...
That's pretty much how I see it too. Yet something always brings you back to check again. I don't know what I'm hoping to see really.
It's like when you have an ulcer in your mouth. You keep on touching it despite it hurting, but eventually the pain goes away and you forget about it. So there's your answer, a good tonguing (not sure if that's a real word).
There is a lot more threads on here than general transfers shows you how desperate we are...........anyone got a fake isis flag and an ak47??? In all seriousness i feel the club is in more danger of completely falling apart now than in the Lloyd era....... hopefully it will sort itself out but i am not so confident, losing interest on your local football team is hard but for now i have no desire at all............who are we..........who are we..........
How these clowns actually managed to make a fortune in building generating sets I do not know. My granson has more business sense in his little finger than these two put together. ALLAMS OUT
Should we now be calling this The NO New Owners thread? A part of me thought that just maybe we would be sold, then reality set in and you just knew that our Arsehole pair Ehab and the Good Honorary Doctor would **** things up, and of course they did. What an absolute pair of ****ehawks they are. This September thing is another total lie. They hate us we hate them. Allams Out
The only positive I can see just now is that thanks to the insane membership scheme if no new owers/players are forthcoming I can simply cancel my direct debit
