Keep hearing this, so here's your chance to lay your cards on the table. What are the numbers? we'll find out if and when the deal is done if you're right.
I'm not going to pull numbers out of the air - the people that know them are bound by the NDA. I've just been told by someone who would know the the 30 + 20 reported in Turkey is a ' total fabrication'.
The HDM do not know. I also doubt that this fella who is the Media in Turkey would divulge his financial dealings to all and sundry.
I think tbh they are more anti Allam .. then anti football, its only since the Allams had their little tiff with them that they have turned their attentions elsewhere
It would be funny from an Allam point of view but to be honest, I think too much is made of us not owning our ground. The clubs of our size that do own their grounds seem to end up selling them off to pay off debts or fiddle FFP. I'd much rather it be safely in municipal hands than subject to any of that bollocks.
I think Kieran Maguire suggested that depending on the terms of the lease it doesn't always make a lot of difference whether you own it or not. The etihad is on a 99 year lease and that provides enough security for the club to invest and develop the ground.
Wasn't PB writing that it was £20m (plus the PL potential add-ons). Would seem nearer the mark. Irrespective, just want it done asap!
Agree .... PROVIDED THAT all parties can work constructively together in order to maintain and develop the stadium and surrounding land for mutual benefit all round. Impossible with the Allams involved.
Not a fuss about anything. Merely stating what is written on here game after game. The manager has to go, and some/most of the players are league one standard. Since the beginnings of negotiations, how many games have we won, how many goals have we scored, and where are we in the league table? How much money is required to rectify those small hiccups in the deal? Yes, the man with his finger on the pulse says the numbers are wrong, yet steadfastly refuses to say what they are. How much would you pay for a club that is league one bound? I would suggest the value of such a club.
Same here Whatever the eventual value of the deal, all that really matters is that both parties agree. Theres a few different figures been bandied about (so why are folk fixating on the 30 +20?) but if I was a betting man I'd think that Howdens estimate would be more realistic.
Maguire reckons 20 - 30 is realistic as a ballpark value. But considering this deal has been rumbling on a lot longer than has been reported then we've actually won quite a few.
In that case, first rumblings, and won quite a few, yep, they are serious. It is one thing buying a high flying, on the up, league one club, as opposed to a basket case championship cannon fodder. Just how much? As I said on another post, good luck to those who try to unravel the Allamhouse accounts in search of clues.
It's the accounts from before the Allams which are the mystery. Assem couldn't do full DD as was reported at the time. The Allams might be ****s, but there's nothing to suggest they are crooks.
