Christ they didn't think this through or for the fans, I've got to buy my daughter one of this & she will think you having a laugh pops, but as its got nike on it she might like it I hope.
I knew it was going to be bad when TF was preparing us this morning. Its funny reading this thread, now everyone knows how I feel every time we sign some has been. Not a single person has said anything positive apart from were being paid loads to wear that crap.
Those who want to wear shirts have the choice of sticking with this season's or buying a retro. I'm sure the finished article with all the PL 'bells and whistles' on will look slightly better and will sell to the absolute diehards. I have an old Cup Final replica which just has our old badge and nothing else, simplicity is sometimes the best option...
To be perfectly honest if Nike are prepared to give us £45m after all the FFP sh'te that we have been dealing with, I could not care if they gave us a bright pink with blue spots kit this season. Do I like the one released today? No. Do I give one ounce of SHEET? No. The only thing I will care about for those home and away shirts next season, is who is actually wearing them next season to represent Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.
Nike pay us right? I can live with it, may even buy the Milan kit with QPR badge, though they are actually Adidas. Brilliant time to reveal this, when we are all still high as kites and in no mood to have a go at the club. Nice one communications/media team, yet again. I like the third kit, harks back to the 67 league cup final and out shirts in the fifties.
Couldn't hate this any more if I tried. After the vast improvement with chunkier hoops last season this is such a step backwards. I'll be expecting a takeover from Tango and Cash next.
What possible logic is there behind these dreadful new strips ? Surely there must have been any number of people and committees involved in choosing the designs for the new kit, can they all have been so out of touch with the fan base ? Even Tan, when he changed the Cardiff kit so dramatically, did so for a reason. This seems such a strange decision with no point. Still, we won at the weekend, so really, however much I might dislike the new kit and its blue bars, it is not going to have the same impact upon me that it might have, had we been forced to don the same aberration in the Championship next year.
Like all the other whingers..get over it..we have 48 million and its for only one year as Tony explained..Its still QPR for **** sake
I dislike it less on second viewing. All they needed to have done is make the hoops twice the thickness and it'd be OK. Alas.
Hi all, this is my first post, been reading posts since the beginning, have been a long suffering supporter for 38yrs don't get to many games but have made 4 this season including Saturday with my boy. The reason for posting, I'm very disappointed with the new kit and whilst was out today guess what I found in a charity shop( was very tempted to buy it)
So that's £7m a year for 5 years just for wearing Nike shirts - Everton get £3.5m from Nike, well done the commercial team at the R's. Now, if Tone wants to stump up another £20 -30m a year to write Air Asia on them (What Etihad and Emirates pay City and Arsenal) rather than the £2.5m he paid in 2012-13, things start to look much brighter.....though that may require renaming the stadium too. AirAsia@Loftus Road anyone?
