Not being funny but I’m still a bit annoyed about the Defoe situation. I thought signing him was a waste of time and almost arrogance itself. The sideshow over him happened alongside a 6-0 defeat to Bolton that started this off. And I know we were up against it wages-wise. Did we need to sell Flanagan to get Defoe in? Not for one second suggesting it’s defoes fault. Just that at a time the club should have been focusing and continuing on the strategy we’d started on, we went on some crazy agenda to get Defoe back which distracted everybody
