I suppose that any good coaches that Keane would want to work with are already employed and their clubs won't let them go this close to the end of the season
I don't think he'll want an entourage, but definitely an assistant and probably a coach. Can't come by yourself these days, you need help getting that buy in from players and staff
I'd see Keane as Masterchef tbh. Every player has shown, over the season, that we have the right ingredients ... ... it's just that, too often, those ingredients have been blended poorly and left a sour taste in your mouth.
You'd assume he'll need a no.2 though seeing as McAllister was sacked. It's a good sign f he's happy to work with the likes of Preece, Jevons etc
That right there is what supporting our club is all about, it’s like being pissed on the worlds maddest rollercoaster.
Yeah, there was a rumour posted that the delay in that he's negotiating bringing in four or five staff. I don't think there is a delay, just that it's time to focus on the match not the manager.
just a little add on to Carlos Edwards. I was invited in that summer to a open day at a factory in Peterlee where I met and chatted with Carlos. telling him me and my lad were right behind his shot that night against Burnley and that his was one of the finest goal I have ever seen. After a few pics were taken (on my office wall at home) we chatted a bit more and I said to him, just before he had to go, that no matter what else he has done for the club he will be welcomed back with open arms and is now a legend of SAFC no mater what else he does or who he plays for . A smashing lad and a great footballer.
I know what you are saying mate. We are top scorers in the league though. It is the other end where work is needed in order to go up. We have to get the centre mid sorted when we lose the ball. It is like the parting of the red sea. Hopefully Mattete helps with that.
Think it could be interesting listening to Danny Collins' take on Keane this afternoon with working under him the last time
I would take Carrick think he’ll be a top manager at some point (only 6months older than JD). Few names doing the rounds. Brian Kidd. Ex Man U and big links with Manchester City set up Phelan (not sure about him but very well respected coach)
