BRISTOL.
At the moment we have two moderators, CJS and me.
Actually it's more like one and a half! CJS is superb, as you all know.
Articles, polls, competitions...a master of fonts and pictures.
I'm not very computer savvy. Articles, comments etc are fine...then I get flustered!

ALSO..we now have over 160 signed up members, with over 40 joining since the beginning
of this month! I wonder why !? <steam>

So CJS and I have gone to the powers that be and they have told us it's fine to go ahead
and recruit a third moderator for our board.

If you'd like to nominate yourself, or another member, please do so by:

10pm MONDAY 19 MAY!

We'll see how that goes and CJS and I will take it from there.

Ideally the spec would be for someone who:

* has been on this board for a while and knows their way around it. However that doesn't stop a newbie
putting themselves forward...perhaps even someone who's moderated another board!
* has ideas for the development of this board. We need to engage and capture all the newbies, rather
than have them taking a look now and again.
* has inside knowledge (only joking! <whistle>)
* has better keyboard skills than me!!!

So, don't be shy.............................
 
Really the new mod will need to be someone who is a regular poster say on a daily basis if possible therefore being available to actually moderate when needed.

I am more than happy (via PM) to go through how to use the mod tools ect so you know what your doing.

It not really a hard job to do as hardly anything need to be moderated to be honest.

So if you any of you gasheads want to be mod then come forward.

Once the deadline os over, the names that have been nominated will be put on a poll which is open to all gasheads even new members. Once there is a winner that person will be put forward to the powers at be who will have the final say on it.

If someone gets nominated and dont want to do it then say so on here so we dont add you to the poll <ok>
 
Yeah I agree with shiny bb or seamge as they are quite regular on here. Gas could also be one if he wants it, not sure he does though? <ok>

I was the mod here when we all first joined up but stood down to let the more suitable CJS and Pirate take up the reigns.

I nominate Bluebaldee, if not then I'll be happy to take it on again. :)
 
Not me gents. I'm not reliable enough and have a tendency to get into full-blown rows with others - not behaviour conducive to modship! I'm also away a lot during the summer months.

Anyhow, I don't believe that we need another mod right now, unless CJS or P49 are planning to stand down. Maybe if we get busy with the start of the new season I would consider it, but I don't reckon there's a need right now. <ok>

Bluebaldee, with a lot of new members that have joined us and continue to do so, hopefully the new season we will be very busy. A 3rd mod request has been granted and a 3rd mod would have time between now and the new season to get to grips with things. Obviously during these summer months, im sure P49 may go away like myself so 1 mod left with a lot of new members, would be helpful if there was an extra mod <ok>

Where you count yourself out of it I will make sure your out of the poll. Thanks for letting me know that your not in a position to take on the role <ok>

Bb......good points but with the cricket season here I'll be at the cricket alot; and also, joking
apart, I think we need another mod who's much better than me at navigating this site and
maximising its potential.

Following a long and thorough selection process <whistle> CJS and I are pleased to
announce that our third mod is Gasheadseamge79.
Congratulations to him and we're both sure he'll do a great job.
