I break my silence.

I will not be amused if we get a mod in who is heavy handed with posts, deleting and editing willy-nilly, like premiertiger seems to be suggesting he would do. He seems a good chap with good info, but I don't want to be censored.

NFUNo1 is clearly one of the best posters on this site, but has ruled himself out which is fine. He has other fish to fry, I'm sure.

TaylorTiger, bless you for nominating me. I don't think I am a serious contender, and am happy to be a rank outsider, but your comment is appreciated. Unfortunately I find access to the site difficult during work times, I can read stuff and post the odd thing, but moderating duties would be difficult. TBH, I'd get bollocked for ****ing about on my phone instead of working. However, I will still run as candidate if that's what the people want. If nowt else, it'd be a right laugh, as I DO NOT deserve the responsibility.

I'd like to say, I think HHH is a good poster who might be a good mod, same for Manuel. Erik might be a laugh, and I get the feeling he's gagging for it.

I'd rather OLM continued, but I don't think he will.

Let democracy take its course!

After 4 or 5 mentions early on (thanks, by the way), my campaign appears to be slipping through my fingers.

Decide on the top 3 from this thread, ask them to create a one paragraph "Manifesto", put a poll up with those in it. We don't need weeks of wrangling or questioning, get the top 3 to say what they'll do, and let people vote based on that. Ideally just have a poll and not a comments section, honestly don't need to see people posting who they voted for.

What could possibly go wrong?

It's just to give everybody a fair chance to see it and comment. It's Bank Holiday weekend so there'll be a few away. I think the last time it had been decided I'd be the new mod for a couple of days before anybody asked if I was interested as well so we can't have been that quick sorting it.

Aye. Personally I suggest we put up everyone who has received nominations - even if it's just one. That way people who haven't got around to commenting on the thread yet can still have the opportunity to vote for the perhaps less (so far) popular candidates such as ISTPLT and Erik.

We also need to give the nominations time to rule themselves out if they don't want to do it.

Is the Donny game tomorrow or Wednesday? Was thinking I'd set the poll up the day after so that those that mainly come on around games have seen, then the poll can run for a few days and next Monday we can ask the owners/supermods to make the changes for us.

The game is tomorrow, although it might be sensible to have more than one poll - I know that sounds like a bit of a faff, but say for example, Erik gets 20 votes, ISTPLT gets 18, and 35 vote for others combined... it'd probably be best to do a sort of "final" poll to allow the posters who voted for the least popular to re-assign their vote.
 
KK kindly nominated me, but I hereby rule myself out due to a lack of maturity.

Well i have been nominated and I am on here quite often so I am not ruling myself out
 
Andy Paytons Mullet would be a decent shout if he's up for it

There are other decent contenders, including Party and BCC would be another one.

I still think Erik would stamp his own unique style on the job in question though.

A good old fashioned vote is in order, one we know who wants in.
 
Ffs Ricardo,just start the poll now,let it run till say wednesday,we demand it as a democratic majority. By the way, i seem to remember olm put you forward, it would only be fair if you made your choice public.
