I said a while ago on one of these threads that I would not be suprised to see a Bolton player arrive on loan - DM's relationship with Owen Coyle is behind this.
He's decent, but not match fit.

Someone just posted this on otib..

At least he doesn't like diving!

We are in the sh*t with injuries so I'm well pleased McInnes has managed to bring in a player of this stature - even if it is 'short term'.

Excellent !
I always liked the look of Davies, a quality player.

Shame its only a loan, but if it gets us out of the mire then well done Del boy
It will also educate the club in what actually constitutes a classy midfielder

He is a great player and hopefully will also bring some much leadership with his experience.

However i just wish DM could have brought in a more attacking creative style midfielder as Davis has always seem to be a defensive style player at bolton

Highly approved of the Pompey team he was part of and if he's close to fitness... could be a rather bloody good signing if we can get him for the rest of the season.

Better than the last player we got from Bolton, anyway.

I remember him when he used to play for pompey in the prem, looked fairly good premiership player and with him cisse and kilkenny in the middle it might just keep us up

Good enough to feature in an England squad - will need a game or two to get match fit - so many injuries just an extra body would help, but hopefully this guy has a bit of quality
