I was on 606 for a while, didn't post much but enjoyed reading threads. I have no idea how the site works! whats all this achievements, points and mates about?

Any advise?

Lots of bells and whistles on this site. As for the achievements, points etc it's all about your 'loyalty'. Get a certain amount of points and they'll send you a free ticket to watch Palace. <laugh>

As for the 'mates' thing, that's all about telling your family that you don't get out much because all your friends are on the internet. Like 'check it out, I've got 1754 Facebook friends'!

Tell me bout it Steve, especially when you go and spend the time writing some long arse article only for the beeb to pull it off the site. Think it was for the best shutting the site down

Totally agree Loyal as it was crazy to pull a long article comment when it was only 1 or 2 words that they thought broke the rules so you'd lose the whole lot. <doh>

Good riddance I say and I was barely blogging on 606 near the end on its last few weeks as I was mostly on here. <ok>

A few rules...

1) Swearing IS allowed but use your brain, all types of people use the forum and don't excessively use the 'C' word.

2) Racist (and similar) comments/photos/videos/links will be deleted.

3) Banning is a LAST resort. If there's anyone you don't like then put them on your IGNORE list.

4) If there is anything that might be a 'bit dodgy' in the way of photos, links etc then use the word NSFW (Not Suitable For Work) after your thread title. This will save people getting the boot from their job.
