I think it is Breconshire? Something like that? South Wales I believe? Again that is the dominant family, then there is briggs from hamburg, so right smack in the welsh-germanic backgrounds. Missed out on the grandfather clause by a generation ( Great Gran, 1 too many) or else I would have tried to swing over looking to play back when I was finishing college. Was not to be. EDIT: Great Gran dad was from the Breconshire area, now Powys I think? and Great gran on dads side was from Hamburg, escaped during WWII.
I think our new member WELSH is a north Walian, theres not much love lost between south and north Wales(so rumour has it).
Good thing I am in the Estados Unidos senior! haha. I am trying to dig deeper but I don't know much of my family tree after the great grans so it is getting difficult. Either way, when I pop over I have Liverpool, Powys ( current name I think) / Creconshire to see. Probably a trip to Scotland or Durham if mates are still kicking about there.

Wait, why do I feel like the new guy? haha. Ya, crazy the name descends from the region and he came from there as well. Also my Great Gran's first name was William, I will let you figure out the rest ( hint's in the sig)
Yeah,But whereas Welsh's grandad had to run about 350 miles from Scotland to Wales you'd need a passport to run to Canada or Mexico.
not in the old days! That is a new law, used to be just some sort of license and you were in. I think Mexico you can still go to the border by car and get in that way ( just a license or something) but not sure. Welsh- unlucky with that horse and carriage, luckily we can just take one of these over.... please log in to view this image
