I would hate it if we got Mourinho, I can't think of anyone worse. He plays awful football, and he's got no class whatsoever. He would just embarrass our club, just as he did at Madrid, and is now doing at Chelsea. If we went all out to get Klopp I can guarantee we would get him, as he knows in the long term it would be a great move for him, it's only 1 season out of it ffs!
Do you really believe managers have this short term mentality? The challenge of not only getting United into the CL, but more importantly actually winning it AND winning the PL, will be a challenge and more realistic achievement for Klopp than anything he's likely to achieve at Dortmund. He would be mad not to take the job for the reason you've stated.
He doesn't speak English, so that would be a big concern with him. I think though he's bound to get the hump when all his best players continue to be sold season after season. Surely he will eventually want to move to a club that will allow him to build and keep his own side

David Moyes would have done a good job with Palace, it's a whole different ball game at a big club though. Working with big name players is a lot more challenging
