I said along the lines that it's not helpful to the cause to go posting / peddling absolute bollox about what the owner does & doesn't do. I can't see how any sane person can disagree with that.
It's been explained multiple times by multiple people from within the club how these things work, so, in addition to using even an ounce of common sense, we can surely conclude what the facts are and so stop peddling the BS. We have enough detractors in our city / region without helping them.
But if you and others get a kick out of it, and out of arguing for the sake of it, then fill your boots. As I also said, some of you deserve the Allams back.

Acun put his foot in it again today, and then had to reclarify himself. Maybe it's the language barrier, or maybe he was just being too honest. But it was an odd thing to say and people will question it.

If we're signing 5 loanees I'd have no issues with 1-2 being youngsters that we're taking a cheap punt on (like Ohio), 2-3 with Championship experience that we have a view to signing permanently if they work well, with 1-2 out of the box big names that we have no hope of getting permanently but need to rehabilitate their image or get some playing time (like Fabio). But going for 3-4 that we have no hope of getting permanently just asks for trouble.

It wasn't always amazing, I was there for almost all of them. But...but... There was most definitely progress, and with the seasons never-ending then I could only see is going one direction. Unfortunately the January incomings were always going to ensure Liam's fate one way or the other, and the onus was on to hit the ground running which was a task that very few were likely to have been up to.

Oh dear a typo. In my experience people who respond to a post picking on a typo is generally because they have no substance to their argument so have to find something to pick at.

However, the fact remains that he sacked our last manager because he didn’t like the style of football and has said on numerous occasions that the choice of GK was part of that thinking. People might agree with that and that’s fine, but it’s different for an owner to say it (repeatedly).

There was a lot in the fans forum the other week that I actually liked. It was interesting that he talked about conversations with Rosenior about the team, but he shrugged - walked away and let Liam get on with it. I liked that because managers should be able to live or die by their decisions. Also, as owner he should be able to ask why players he bought haven’t been playing.

But in the same fans forum he spent 20/30 mins or thereabouts talking about how much he respected Liam but then talking about how ridiculous it was that he was still playing Allsop, oh and why wasn’t Sinik anywhere near the squad? At points he actually seemed to be waiting for the laughter from the crowd.

That’s the bit that makes me nervous. Yes he’s talked about the manager and the scouts having the final say - but the tone of that fans forum started some quiet alarm bells ringing. It wasn’t respectful to Rosenior or the current playing or coaching staff. Hopefully in years to come that’ll amount to nothing - but you’ve seen dodgier owners of other clubs start with less meddling than that.

For the record I think Acun has done a great job on the whole and I’m really looking forward to seeing what Walter brings to the club. But often what Acun is saying in one place and what/how he’s saying it elsewhere isn’t matching.

He just needs to bring in someone/people who are capable of running the footballing side. I assumed that was meant to be Tan, but the reality is the footballing decisions haven't been good enough. That includes hiring managers, sacking managers and recruitment as a whole. When you're spending £14/15m a year on the club, give yourself the best chance of success possible.

Recruitment was fine last season. Philogene could bank roll a full season. January was scatter gun but they saw a shot to go for it, I’d have backed us in the playoffs should we have got in.

Delap, Philogene , Morton, Omur, Carvalho, Ohio, Connolly, Allsop all proved their worth.

Only really Sharp and Pandur who we don’t know yet were busts. Giles 50/50 because he’s a good long term signing should be get him.

When you’re going for short term success like the owners are, loans are going to happen.
