Made his name at Cheltenham late 90's early 00's.
I remember when we hammered them (might have been 5-1) at BP during Brian little's tenure and Cotterill came out with a remark that he
wouldn't swap a single player of ours for one of theirs. At the time I thought what an arrogant no-nowt tosser, as we looked like real promotion material
at the time.
Come the end of the season, Cheltenham went up automatically and we languished mid-table after a miserable second half of the season.
He obviously did know what he was talking about and it turned out I was the no-nowt tosser![]()
He is number 2 ready to take over againI thought they might give it to Carsley after 2 decent results
I remember that and was just talking about it this morning, didn't we reach the play-offs that season though?
Used to love the away games with them. Really close to the pitch for battles between Sarge and their big centre forwardsMade his name at Cheltenham late 90's early 00's.

The play-off season 2000/01 was the one before that Cheltenham game. The night we lost to Leyton Orient in the play-offs was the same night John Prescott chinned the guy in the General Election campaign. Strange how things stick in the mind !
