Btw tobes, if it is Martinez (and you know I'm an admirer) would you expect him to bring Mcmanaman with him? Cracking player he is.

Another one we let go! lol.

Not sure mate, our first priorities are to buy a top notch CF & a replacement for Fellaini.

We also need a keeper good enough to give a proper challenge to Howard, as Mucha is leaving.

you heard it here first. If Martinez gets the post he last longer in the job than Rodgers will ..

If Rodgers has another indifferent season he will be out

Give over. They wanted Martinez and he said no. It's a facht.

Absolutely 100% FALSE. I wanted Martinez first, and i admit it. Liverpool approached Rodgers first before they even met Martinez in Florida, but he turned them down as they were stillwittering about moneyball and directors of football.

I'm hoping even the Blue noses back me up here, because they were quick enough to mock us (rightly) when Rodgers knocked us back when we first approached him.

So, not a 'facht', nor 'game over', you just haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

Btw, I'm not doing this to save face - Martinez DID knock Liverpool back after being interviewed in Florida. But it was after Rodgers had knocked them back (and possibly the likes of Klopp, Guardiola and Ancellotti too, amongst others).

As I remember it, they did approach Rodgers first, but were wanting managers to come & interview for the position, so he'd have been one amongst a number vying for the job. He refused the invitation, so they moved on & made the same offer to Martinez who accepted the invitation, but then didn't like the idea of not having total control, so passed up the opportunity. They then changed their tact & went back for Rodgers, but this time he was in a pool of 1.
