New name I don't think has been mention Mark Robins has just popped on Skybet at 11s....
 
Do we take that as Micky Adams is the leading candidate then? He seemed pretty aggressive about the speculation before jetting off on holiday. Ah! Bet it was to the UAE <diva>
 
I think it's all because it's now June that people are expecting something. There's already been two articles strengthening odds on other candidates this morning, so colour me confused. Good spot from the Port Vale OS though, I bet PS must be hating twitter right now!
 
You can understand Port Vale's position seeing that Adams came out in the press to "refute" his interest in the job. Their noses have obviously been put out of joint and they are stamping their feet in a bit of a huff. Not a lot either club can do until Mickey makes his move now.

Isn't this what happened with Stimson too?

I bet someone is really stamping their feet after Port Vale released that comment! Good on them I say for coming out in the open about it. Although will that see the end of the situation I am not so sure. What is the current financial situation with Port Vale, after all, like players and despite my grievances it always comes down to money.
 
Sod this, I'm fed up with all the jorno's this morning jumping on the back of these reports and reporting it incorrectly as I see it.

Some are saying that the Chairman responded to a certain source dismissing the PV claims. Well hang on in a minute there! That certain source did not even know that PV had dismissed the rumours and until they picked up Gemini and myself having a conversation on twitter about it. So how could the Chairman have a conversation with a source about something they admitted they did not know?

Basically, if Adams wants it, it's his now... That's how I see it. To be honest I would be very happy with him as manager but equally as happy with Mark Robson. I can see our club having a manager announced by wednesday next week, that's my prediction :P
 
Wow they really are an angry bunch on that board aren't they! Is it worth paying the compensation for a manager and giving him less transfer fees/wages to work with?

The question I ask and possibly a deciding factor on his own future is...has the situation at Port Vale been sorted within the last 2 days of that report being published?

And I thought Gills fans were guilty in terms of negativity. In comparison to these Vale fans we are the happiest fans in the land. All I see on that forum is a recurring use of explicit language and the words traitor, betrayal and loyalty all used throughout. Will someone tell them he hasn't left yet? I would but i'm scared of getting a death threat from these 'valiants'
