Unfortunately, when we took the money for Philogene and Greaves, we needed to use that to fill several spots in the team, as we had propped up the play-off chasing team with a lot of loans who all went back with a price tag well out of our range. We definitely signed some good players last year and luck was against us with injuries, but we also had a few headscratchers
To me, if it does turn out to be Bilic, it represents the intent of an immediate promotion push at all costs. If it comes off great, but thats pretty unlikely and we will have yet another summer of upheaval at the end of it. Last throw of the dice?
I sense Acun thinks Bilić will be his Bruce during the 2012/13 season. I just don’t see it personally. The man has no patience.

Missed out the last bit as it was some guff about West Ham. Of particular note is probably this bit. Bilic, too, will not quit. He will be back next season. There have been offers, plenty of offers, but he wants to wait until the summer to get a pre-season to prepare and is targeting managing in Europe again. “Every week someone is calling,” he says. “But I decided to wait to try and get something here [in England] or in Europe. There have been a few so far from Europe but I want to wait for the next season.”
Never did one because they said they were only offering 2/5 then they added him to the list so i thought **** that.
I was hoping for a 3/1 or maybe 4/1 if you lot had not hit it big was only going to put a £50 on maybe £100 was surprised when he was not in the betting so thought i might get bit better till they come back and said the 2/5 price so some obviously got in early. Unless they already knew he was going to be selected as the new manager, makes you feel like you are been ripped off when they continue to take bets on others if they possibly already know who it is going to be and never put him in the betting till people ask.
Think we’ve been linked with him a few times, I think 3,3-5 years ago he’d have turned us down. I don’t think we realistically are attracting a bigger name which im sure is why Bilic appeals to acun. we might be lucky and catch each other at the right time but i feel its the wrong time.
I'd hoped to get 14/1 maybe even more this morning by being cute with the bookie and placing 2 or three random bets such as Wayne Rooney, Gerrard and then ask them what price on Bilic so they were not suspicious. Work got in the way of my plans!
