I reckon McCann’s probably at the stage in his career where he looks at longevity rather than payday. If he can make steady progress at Donny he’ll get a better offer than Hull on marginally better pay. listened to Jon Parkin on a podcast a while back and he basically said that when your on £10kpw and playing regularly, scoring for fun and club comes along offering £12kpw but you have to change everything, it’s just not worth it.
You keep mentioning sizeable pay increases for any coach coming to us from another Club(ie-Alex Neil or McCann)? How much are we paying as opposed to Millwall for example? Is there a big gap?
