To be honest, I don’t know why Dawson is still here. Stability/continuity can’t be the reason as it’s non-existent at City. Almost every head coach these days have two assistants who follow them.

    Baz in his article mentions…

    Muslic
    Mowbray
    Terry
    Williams
    Cleverley
    Edwards

    Emre
    Still
    O’Neill

…but then ruled out Muslic, Mowbray, Emre and Still.

Baz is going to want to have dropped those on the shortlist into his articles - so a few of those in bold must be on the shortlist.

He's mentioned Dean Smith a couple of times as well, and seems to be the only one mentioning him. In his article this afternoon he said one of the candidates is recently out of work.

I wouldn't rule out Emre, Acun did not spend 15 minutes of interview to defend him for nothing. Never say never.

It would be a suicidal appointment though. For someone so gifted with PR and media he must realise how toxic that one would be.

it thought Emre had ruled himself out.

Edwards, done well at Forest Green, initially exceptionally well at Luton not entirely why they sunk like a stone?
O'Neil, seems to start well at clubs, clearly fell out with some stars at Wolves, that isn't going to apply to us.....

Both seem ok for us? What am I missing?

I like Cleverley , he seems to set up his team pretty well and adjusts to be effective - well he did against us home and away .

Nothing against Cleverly but is he an upgrade on Selles ?

Did his Watford team play attacking and attractive football ? Or are we over that now
and looking for managers who can win scrappy games 1-0 ?

Attacking attractive football is a myth unless you have a stacked tean such as leeds

But no idea about cleverley myself

I mentioned him but only as he was in the betting odds. About 25/1 so hopefully nothing to worry about!

Baz mentioned him in his article. Could just be a name check but why even throw his name out there.
