Been looking since Sellés was sacked to have a bet on the next manager but skybet still don’t have next manager odds, is this mine playing up or is it the same for others? Maybe Sky just can’t be arsed to put us on the manager specials section. I’ve got a whole 33p left in my account dying to be put on to win me a fortune
What was Muslic's record at Plymouth compared with Ruben's at Hull. When Ruben took over we were bottom and survived. Wnen Muslic took over at Plymouth were they also bottom but didn't survive? Points per game about the same, and did he have to contend with as many injuries?
Muslic seems a good manager for backs against the walls Everyones against us stuff But i genuinely think people would be questioning him quicker than walter
Exciting is open to interpretation. To me just not having sit through Selles insistence on playing for draws will be quite exciting next season. Watching Tim's style was exciting wasnt it? You couldn't take your eyes off us when we're leaving nobody back at corners etc. As long as I go home having enjoyed watching the game and not been checking my watch for the last 30 minutes I'm happy. I genuinely don't care if we win or lose, it's just nice to see good football. Something we've been starved of for years.
365 have Boca Juniors, Rangers & Spurs, not us. I don’t think we’re a big enough market to waste time on!
Very little between us points wise at the end of the season but their goal difference was significantly worse than ours(they conceded a lot of goals which suggests their defence was leaky at best). Whoever comes in needs a decent squad of players to work with,if they get that then we should push onward and upwards...Much depends on who the new coach has to work with and until we get a look at the new squad it's difficult to make a judgement on expectations.
Also true Doesnt matter how good of a manager you are You need a good squad for success And currently we are miles off it Staying up is where i think we are
Been reading about Will Still, young manager who has just walked away from Lens as he wants to come home, had a very decent record there too, worth considering ?
We've got some decent players on the books,Millar and Beloumi are both good quality if they come back from injury the same players, defence wise,we could do with a bit of a tidy up. We really need a hard bastard in midfield and a couple of strikers. If we recruit wisely and spend a bit of money,we could certainly be a huge improvement on this last season(wouldn't be difficult to be fair). He says he'll spend so we trust that until it's proven otherwise...Hopefully we won't be having that discussion!!
im the opposite. I just want a win. A boring 1 nil victory most weeks…. (But not enough to get promoted lol)
Spurious argument at best. Once we get our injured/banned players back it’s a different and better squad. Selles would have done better with it next season. So might the Plymouth gadgy to be fair. Then chuck in some astute signings and who knows? It’s completely different to this season. A season when we weren’t relegated… …but Plymouth were. So, using impeccable logic, the manager who relegated a bunch of **** players will be better than the manager who didn’t relegate a bunch of better players. Bizarre.
How can you compare 2 managers that worked with different squads using their league position and results record as the comparison? Its not a fair assessment over such a short space of time as neither had chance to create their own squad to play their own style. My point was that Selles got the better tools to work with so it's not really relevant. Surely when choosing a manager you look at their past records of developing players, style of play, achievements in relation to their positions, eg working with tight budgets or poor squads. Not just compare them to another bloke with a different group of players and see which one finished higher over a 5 month period.
