I’m sure it’s great to find the next Thomas frank, I’d have preferred a solid championship manager ie Mowbray or Alex Neil etc.
Especially if this isn’t acun’s first choice

Asked ChatGPT about Jakirović’s tactics/style of play as there’s not a lot to go on in terms of articles or deep dives into how his teams play. It said his teams are known for defensive stability and aren’t very ‘expansive’ when attacking. Sounds like the Bosnian Pulis. Unsure what Acun sees in him beyond the fact he did a decent job at Kayserispor for five months.

The one benefit with Tim was that there was a tonne of 2.Bundesliga YouTube games to brush up on prior to his arrival. This probably won’t be so easy

The club couldn't have kept him no matter how hard they tried. He's made a great move for his career and it's taken him back close to home. It was a very tough decision for him. But it was one he was always going to make.....

Probably the financial package this fella wants appeals to Acun more then a manager who has actually managed in this country and this level would expect ?

Let's not forget he was managing teams expected to get results also, Maribor, Rijeka, Dinamo, Bosnian team are all title contenders and Kayseri is a mid table team which should never in relegation zone.

It is a very Acun appointment. I remember him banging on about points per game when we got Walter; it seems like his main barometer for a manager.

I don't know how hard the club tried to keep him, perhaps you do? He will be a loss to this club and I wish him well. I also hope he has left on good terms and not under a cloud because he could be an invaluable contact for us in Cork. He has served Hull City well and will be a hard act to follow.
We need solid servants like David Meyler at the club right now because I think we are treading water a bit and could quickly sink if this next managerial appointment goes pear shaped. New manager, means new coaches, and it looks like they will all not only be new to the club, staff and players and the standards required in the championship but to this country and this city. Its a lot to swallow in the few weeks left before pre season training starts.

Let’s hope he’s a great success…with a high ‘points per game’ ratio and we can get him back as our manager some time in the future.

    Good bloke

If a manager isn't up to it, the Championship will soon find him out. Hoping this guy is another Silva - but fearing he is another Shota

This feels like an Acun appointment. Disappointing.

There are English managers out there who have experience and have been successful in the Championship before. Men who know the score, what is required and already have contacts in this country made over many years in the game. Contacts which are invaluable. Those men come at a cost.
But no, lets fly someone in who has no experience here, hasn't played here, doesn't live here, who English is not his native language, probably has never been to Hull before in their lives, someone who has to persuade a couple of other similar people to up sticks and country, and probably careers, leave their families and join them living in a hotel room in a city they know nothing about.
Then cobble a team together before pre season starts at the end of next month.

I have a sneaking suspicion we approached both and invited them to interview but they turned us down.

Seems he likes a 4231 formation with inverted wingers.
