Can we just have a sticky thread called White Smoke, that’s locked until we get a new manager?

Rinse & repeat every 6 months or so!

I admitted TWT regarding the money spent from Philogene and Greaves, it’s far more promising than the collective that was spent from KLP.

Investment in the academy would be nice. It’s the very thing that’s generated £40m roughly of players sales all pure profit. The Allams spent a fraction of that converting it from Cat 3 to 2. Whilst I appreciate it would take a lot more to get from 2 to 1 it’s not out the question to put some of it back into the academy.

If clubs are changing the model it doesn’t negate having to invest into it. If anything the competition will be far more. Clubs our size are going to have to rely on pure profit sales and by and large they come from academy players being sold unless you get a free agent and sell them similar to Alzate. I know which I would rather rely on.

Tongue in cheek or not. It’s bad practice. I don’t find it personally tongue in cheek that he criticised Aaron Connolly for being overweight after he came back from a serious injury given what’s come to light since. His comments about Allsop whilst in line with what fans felt again is bad practice. How many owners out there are publicly commenting on specific players? Agents and players talk. I guarantee it will have stopped us talking to a player or two. Maybe more. Steve Bruce went after Dwight gayle recently after the latter spoke out against him and they’ve no longer got any attachment to each other. Both Allsop and Connolly were still under contract. Albeit the latter likely to leave anyway. Acun actually apologised for these comments. Damage was done however.

I would buy your notion of the debt being in line with relative to the championship if he didn’t basically have no debt when he came in to pushing us to this level of debt and basically be in the same position he came into. 16th.

He recently said in an interview that ‘I’m not the richest owner but I am the craziest owner in the league’ or something like that. I bet he thought it came off endearing like ‘ooh, look at me, at least I’m wacky and passionate about the sport’.

I actually don’t want my club’s owner and chairman to be the ‘craziest in the league’ anymore than I would want my surgeon to be the craziest on the oncology ward if I have a tumour. I would take a boring, pragmatic businessman who delegates to competent people over Acun any day of the week.

I don’t teach nursery but I can understand why you mentioned it specifically as it was probably the highest level of education you experienced, judging by your posts.

So we were miles off with some of the Muslic, Sahin, Viera, Cooper chat.... a manager who has been very successful in "weaker" league, but good very European experience is our level .... I welcome him, I hope him and his team are able to communicate there ideas to successfully to the players.

If it's Acuns man he will back him....it's gone be an exciting Summer :)

Caught up all posts, apparently Jakirovic who had a mediocre season in Kayseri is the new candidate and as usual Jim is trying to defend Acun every 3-4 posts, nothing new here. Jakirovic is not even reputable in Turkey, boss of Samsun - Thomas Reis, boss Eyup - Arda Turan, boss of Gaziantep Selcuk Inan, boss of Rize - İlhan Palut, boss of Göztepe - Stoilov were all ahead of him.
It looks like another week with no appointment, I feel like we are getting close to inevitable ending with Emre. Played in continent - 4 countries check, still employed until next week, check.
