Just humour me. What is it he has actually done that you don't like? He appointed two managers you didn't want sacked so therefore he isn't that bad at picking the right managers. Granted, he then sacked them so you will hate him for that. Is that it? Crowds at almost capacity. Almost everywhere you go there are tons of kids wearing city gear. Season passes still some of the best prices in the league. Talksport giving him plenty of air time not to mention our footprint reaching further than before thanks to his profile. What is it he has done to upset you so badly? Facts, not rumours. Talk of money issues cannot be proved and looking less likely by the day. Are you really devoting hour upon hour of your life every day to this crusade of hatred because he sacked two managers you quite liked and made a joke about Ryan Allsopp?
Based on the last two seasons I can’t argue but the tide must turn sometime ( says he with fingers crossed )
I'm actually worried for him. 6 months ago he used to he pretty laid back and reasoned. There is some real hatred in there and I can't understand why. Honestly Kalman, I'm not trying to sound patronising but you will make yourself ill if you carry on letting it consume you like this. Every post you seem to attack Acun. He might not be perfect but the club is hardly falling apart.
Really? So players weren't paid late and there's been no plea for outside investment then? I'm not saying I want him out but your narrative is no less fuelled by your own bias than Kalmans.
Fair enough but I'm not sure that's really a good reason to spend your time attacking the bloke non stop. You are a knowledgeable poster, don't let it spoil you're enjoyment of City even if it is hard to ignore.
What a load of ****e, "Ilicali is reportedly unhappy with current coach Ruben Selles" They don't even know Selles was sacked two weeks ago.
Is that the best you've got? Once, the players may have been paid late. It happens all over the world for various reasons. And looking for additional investment is what good business men do when they realise the competition is wealthier than they are. Man Utd have had to do it recently. Mountains out of molehills.
Bury your head if it suits you, but it's not a coincidence. And owners don't usually get the begging bowl out if it's all hunky dory. Especially not owners who walk away from investments elsewhere if they can't have full control.
Whether late or not I'm pretty certain it'll be via overseas transfer again and not from club accounts.
There was visceral hatred towards the Allams by many on here, Twitter, Facebook etc. for years. It was intense. Some of it was entirely justified and some of it was over the top. My attitude towards Acun is incredibly tame in comparison.
I’ll play devils advocate of why someone would want a change in ownership. - circa 60 players brought in - €65m spent - Completely wasted the KLP money. TWT on Greaves and Philogene money. - Doesn’t want to invest more into the academy (his own words at a Q&A) - Very little investment into infrastructure within the club (I’ll give him credit for the work at the training ground, pitch and recent safe standing) - Unsustainable levels of debt - making a bit of a mockery of the club in terms of keeping managers - publicly slating players at a fans Q&A (one of which has since confessed he struggles with depression and addiction) - Constantly searching for a “style of play” despite not really qualifying what the **** that is other than “more goals even for the opposition” - despite all this our average position in his tenure is 16th There’s other reasons I could give but are largely conjecture based on stuff either posted on here or stuff I’ve heard from a friend of a ex player
I know there was and I would have said the same to them mate. It's not going to do you any good getting wound up every day by it. I'm speaking from experience and just hope you don't let the anger consume you. You're a decent bloke from the impression you've given on here, this has really changed you.
And we have others posting opinions who haven't seen the club play live since we left Boothferry Park, others who don't even know where Boothferry Park was and have no idea of our history. Others who wouldn't buy a match ticket if they were still 50p and others who are the exact opposite. Spelling is way down the list IMO.
