Much better record, obviously can’t compare different leagues 1 to 1 but his win percentage is far better
Never heard of him but looking at his history he's managed in a few leagues and everywhere he's been he's achieved a decent win rate and a bit of success, so yeh, out of what's probably available and willing to come he 'sounds' half decent.
A few different leagues but all top division. Slovenia, Bosnia, Turkey, and Croatia. Won the league in Bosnia, won the league and cup in Croatia. Got to round of 16 in conference league, and qualified for champions league too. On paper he’s an upgrade on Selles.
Again, like the previous coaching appointments, everything reported about this hiring process has focused about ‘what Acun wants’, like he’s qualified or competent enough to judge. The whole club is at the mercy of a guy who doesn’t actually know what he’s doing.
He probably had players that are top end for the league they are in... Here he will have Giles, Jones, Slater.... He is ****ed!
This is his son, age 17. Mebbe he'll come aswell He made his debut in the UEFA Champions League on 29 January 2025 in a 2-1 win against AC Milan
I’ve tried to do a bit of digging about his coaching career but there’s not a lot online that goes into much detail about his coaching style/methods, tactics etc. I did see a few comments from Dinamo Zagreb supporters who said he doesn’t have a recognised style of play and tactics and that he won the double there by virtue of Dinamo being the strongest and wealthiest club in the league. They went on to explain that he was massively exposed when they played in Europe against non-Croatian teams.
