In fact, I would be happy with an ostrich right now, cant be much worse than our recent batch of failed managers imo...
My ideal manager:- Not sleazy/dodgy/prone to violence. Not ex QPR manager or any link to Spurs. At least 5 years off retirement. Not a journeyman manager of the football leagues (a la Megson). Has demonstrated style or entertainment over the course any season.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink asks for more time and compares QPR to Manchester United after Nottingham Forest draw Ahead of the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, the Dutchman was reportedly a defeat away from the sack please log in to view this image Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink hopes he will be given time to guide a QPR side that is in transition and compared the Hoops to Manchester United. Ahead of the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, the Dutchman was reportedly a defeat away from the sack. With Rangers trailing to Britt Assombalonga's strike, QPR looked to be destined for defeat with Karl Henry sent off. However, Hildeberto Pereira also saw red for Forest with Idrissa Sylla heading home a fine equaliser. When asked by GetWestLondon whether he felt under pressure, Hasselbaink responded by saying: “Should I feel under pressure? It is what it is. That's football. You've been around QPR for a long time and know what is happening. “That's the case. I'm trying to do a good job and I think we're going in a good direction. Hopefully I'll be given time – it's not my decision. I'm not going to copy the rest of this article as the next bit has a scary and offending image which I do not want associated with my club... If your feeling brave and do not have any blood pressure issues then read on at http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...s/jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-asks-more-12133242?
At least now he won't have to hurry back from Singapore mid-week and possibly take a slow boat to China while he's at it.
do we need to rush and appoint a manager bound to be plenty of sackings between now and seasons end put ramsey of les in temporary charge
What about Stephen Kenny manager of dundalk 3 league titles in a row including the double last year and also in cup final again later today . .also look at how well they have played in the Europa league this season ...worth a look at
No way. I know his missus. I used to work with her. One or two of the Dundalk players are worth a look mind you. Daryl Horgan in particular is equally as good if not better than some of our current players.
Just woke to see this sad news. Good luck Jimmy, you'll probably be better off at a new place. And do we have a better replacement? I'll be surprised.
Would love Clement but he'd be mental to leave Bayern for us. Can't see it. The list of favourites for the job is scarily poor. It will be Sherwood.
I'd prefer Karl Robinson, give him the backing to introduce the passing game, something we've been unfamiliar with for several seasons...
Karl Robinson for me, he plays the game the right way, he knows the Championship and League One thoroughly and would, given the backing, identify quality players from that level who would improve us. Whoever it is we won't be troubling the play-offs this season so give him time to produce a better footballing side who would be ready to make the step up in time, all this 'we must go up by whenever' means we are never properly prepared. Look at how Bournemouth bridged the gap, it can be done...
