I started with that, and then i added the all in with an edit.
I have no concerns with puel if it is him. The board have earned my trust with manager appointments. They seem pretty good at it.
Revolutionary idea...perhaps the new direction Saints are reputedly taking is not to have a manager. Just tell the players to go out there, play their best to put themselves in the shop window....the money would roll in and we'd probably win the league.
Perhaps they should puel their resources.I see we need someone to police the punsthe sister organisation to the happy clapper watch. Not sure who has the tougher job.

Didn't Saints do that in the 1940s or 1950s for a while? A committee of three directors or something with input from senior players. I remember reading that results improved slightly. Mind you Saints used to sell all their best players then too.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

SOUTHAMPTON NEAR PUEL DEAL
Talks remain ongoing between Southampton and the former Nice head coach Claude Puel as a deal to appoint him as successor to Ronald Koeman edges closer.
An announcement confirming his arrival at St Mary’s will be made by the end of the week, according to Sky sources.
The 54-year-old led unfancied Nice to within two points of Champions League in France last season and we understand that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger advised the Saints during the process.
