Why would any manager leave a secure job where he's successful to come to Charlton? Short-term financial gain balanced against probable sacking on your CV?
"New manager appointed at least by the end of the week, I think" according to TS. See, football's easy.
I was literally on my way to complain about @Butterfield getting my hopes up for a new manager, and lo and behold, we have Ben Garner confirmed. Dunno who the ITK person was, but can we sign 'em up on here. I'm tired of wading through the cesspit that is twitter to try and find stuff out Good luck Ben Garner by the way, and I hope you have a wish list of players all ready, as from next monday, the fans are going to start asking why we haven't signed anybody decent yet!
Welcome to CAFC Ben, and the best of luck for this coming season It'll be good to see attacking football if we have the players to do it effectively. I hope you can mix it up when required too - the occasional change of formation and good tactical decisions during games... Glad to see you've been appointed as manager too, not head coach. Having said that, what's in a name these days? Anyway, I hope you have the latitude granted to do the job your way.
Good luck Ben , I hope the entitled element of our fan base give you a chance to build a team before calling for your head!
Give it six games and things could be interesting. Something tells me Sandgaard could be copping pelters before Christmas.
