Whoever the new manager is, I'd like the first thing he did to be make Dobson captain.

We (Charlton) don't have another song.

Sandgaard has released a new track as part of his ongoing rock star persona/career. Video is on yootube;

Giant ego? Maybe.
Daft video? For sure.
But it just reminded me of how much this guy seems to be enjoying his life.
Rock music is obviously a huge escape for him, as football and being Charlton fans should be an escape for each of us.

Being Charlton fans isn't supposed to make us feel aggrieved and bitter (unless you enjoy that kind of thing).
Most of the rest of our lives regularly brings us enough stress and worries.
Being Addicks fans is supposed to be enjoyable!
Sandgaard strikes me as a bloke who knows how to enjoy life

 

Yeah, well, I know what you mean, but... Cheltenham at home? Really cannot remember enjoying a moment of that, and it wasn't a rare event last season.

 

Granted last season wasn't enjoyable.
But I'm not going to let that make me miserable and resentful all summer.

The man means well.
It seems he's trying to create a 'Brentford' style set-up, and not having much luck so far. But he has only just begun.
As long has he is working to get the Valley back, I'm happy to give him a few seasons to reshape the Club and get us moving in the right direction.
Some of his early comments were down to inexperience and an excess of confidence.

I've been getting down and a bit depressed since the old season ended. A week ago I wrote next season off.
But life really is too short. I've got plenty of worries in other parts of my life - haven't we all?
Supporting the Addicks is an important escape, and I'm going to take what comes with as much good cheer as possible
