I mentioned this on another post, but apparently there is now evidence of AVB being in Boston two weeks ago. And he is currently in Brazil scouting - for whom is unclear. GKRK
I'm surprised no one on here has mentioned him, but i honestly think your next manager will be Ranieri... if i was a betting man, which i'm not anymore, i would absolutely lump on him at 66/1...
Lawro will be guessing the results. 'Dont worry Al, no need for a team talk, I'm going for a 2-1 win here'. BTW it is as good as confirmed that AVB has spoken to LFC representatives.
As I drown my sorrows in my local pub i gotta thinking, Who'll run our club Many names are being banded about with just about everyone in with a shout First name to be mentioned was our Man Rafa But do the yanks fancy him as out Gaffer next in line for mention is Martinez has he the potential to turn us to dreamers then theres a guy whose name is Klopp with a record like his, how could we flop? Alot of people sing praise of Deschamps but has he the skill to make us Des champs? A few of us are fancying brenden. great with possession, and fair with defendin A few optimisitsts are thinking of jose Away at he bridge, that would be cosy Now ive just heard we are inked with Bielsa and Errrr, Ummm. **** this poetry lark, just give us someone good
Is that right about AVB? Think he would be a good choice. From what I could glean the senior players at Chelsea made sure they got rid of him.
As I mentioned on another thread I think it will be AVB, not so sure it will be a success to be honest. You can just imagine the **** the Chelsea players will be giving our lads at the euros if this happens which will already put doubts in to some of the players before they even work with him! As soon as he makes a mistake not only will the fans and media be on him but the players will too; I must admit I thought about him before he went to Chelsea but I think he needs to rebuild his reputation in another league first!
I can't see them being that unprofessional to be honest. Even if they are, the Liverpool players can give **** back about how they moaned to Abramovich to get rid of him because he was younger than their aged team and squad.
I think not one lfc player likes or respects terry, lampard or cole.. honeslty there is bad blood with lampard in particular.... If AVB was appointed the players would try jsut as hard as they barely tried for kenny. I think personally our league form was a direct result of lads not bothering their arses... kenny tried every player and formation bar the ridiculous... if he was pilloried for not playing stelring in every game thats as much criticism as can be leveled cos he did try changing things and the same stuff happened. kenny lost his job due to bad signings in the summer who failed and no signings at all in january when it was obvious adam and downing flopped, lucas was out and gerrard was never going to be fit. the signings did for him. the next guy won't get any more out of them and will need more than 30mil to change things radically.
I think the initial sacking of Comoli demonstrated that the owners were unhappy with the signings made and therefore got rid of him to get someone new in who can do better with the money. I think we will have 30-40 mil to spend, plus any sales (Downing), possibly more money. I definitely think whoever they bring in as manager and dof will have a fair bit to spend and sort things out.
You can't see the Chelsea contingent being that unprofessional? You must be joking, not performing for AVB, Scholari and possibly Ancelotti at one time or cheating like Drogba & Terry and yet you believe they are the bastions of morality! The point I make is that AVB will be up against it from the off and I question whether he can really handle it again.
Can you read? I said we didnt want t him, so why would I be dreaming about it......If you are going to try and wind up, you will have to do better than that to match....Skrtel looking elsewhere, LFC legend gettin gfired, or Lose a cup final only to bthrash the same bunch of gypsies days later...... try again, and this time put a lot more effort in...
To be fair, you have convinced me. You can add Cashley Cole and Lampard to that list of names to blame. I do think AVB is good and would be good, but like you say, his past disappointment at Chelsea may affect him or have everyone waiting for him to mess up?
I think, as an outsider, you have summed things up perfectly. One question - I have a lot of time for Kuyt, smashing player who also gives his all. Do you think he was not used enough during the season? Or was he injured?
neither... I honestly think he's legs are going. I think though that kenny didn't fancy him either but i genuinely think he's not as fit and just hasn't been the same guy. games won't fix that. his game was all about running all day and he just can't any more.
Definitely want AVB now
if we've a choice of rafa's magic hands, roy's face rubbing, kenny's coat chewing or AVB making funny faces i guess aVB combines all of them in one guy.
