We’ve had one ex Man U player as a manager who was hopeless, we don’t want another

You're right there glam. No idea how it works but saw that because Sweden beat Romania, Wales are now guaranteed a playoff spot.

How the hell do they work that lot out?

Harris it is. Just announced. Deal to 2022.

Best we all get behind him and give him a chance. Perhaps the playing style at Millwall was dictated by the players he had and what they could afford?

Not too sure about this but he’s here now so let’s see how he does. Hopefully he will turn things around but time will tell.

What concerns me is he's bringing defender Livermore with him as assistant manager. Why can't we get an attack minded manager/assitant manager combination?

Agree we've got to give him/them a chance and get behind the club, but I fear we've missed a golden opportunity to change things more radically.

It'll be the same with us. It'll be dictated by the players WE have.
Can't see Tan chucking any money about.

Hey ho, it is what it is. Onward and hopefully upward.

Like sparkey, I wish we had taken a bit more time and think a little bit outside the box. This appointment on the face of it seems quite boring. I don't know what attracted him to the job, I just hope it's ambition and not just a job.

Still, he's a Bluebird now and we have to get behind him. Let's believe that he can change things.

He wouldn’t have been in my top ten choices but now he’s our new manager can we just put aside negative views and give him our support and a chance?

    Welcome (to another) Neil :emoticon-0150-hands

I'd love to Nin, but I just can't help myself seeing the missed opportuity here - Warnock has gone and it was time for a change in style.

The Harris/Livermore combo is League One/Championship managerial standard at best. There is nothing to excite me about where this appointment is going to take the club. I see more of the same.

As it happens, I really enjoy Championship football as long as our club can compete at the top end of it mixing it with the more "classier" teams. There is nothing worse than struggling in the middle/lower reaches of the division watching other sides outplaying you and hoping for a chance to nick the game. We've more or less had that to suffer this season so far and I can't see it changing short term.

Who is going to build the side next season and take it in a different direction? I don't trust the board to be proactive on that front and now we've got a management team that have never done that either.

Perhaps he's not been given the opportunity?

Let's see how this plans out and give him every encouragement.

Agreed I would have liked to have seen an attack minded coach arrive. Another appointment next week maybe? Now that could be a role for Bellamy.

Lets make this clear. I'm 100% behind Harris whilst he's here with us, It's the board I'm not happy about - took the easy option.

    Honestly wish Neil luck.
Will always be a Millwall legend, but.not as a manager.
Hopefully, with a different set of players to manage he might realize that there are other styles of football than the long ball game - that's all he had us doing.
Tactically inept, and most of the signings he made were awful!!

I’m totally with you on that. I’ve maintained constantly the club is being held back by the virtual non football understanding and knowledge of the board.

I’m just prepared to give NH a chance; who knows he may get the best out of eg Vaulks and maybe give eg Coxe some game time.

    And drop Peltier and Flint

Ps But try as he may he’ll struggle with Madine<doh>

Hi William. I fully respect where you are coming from and I agree that on the face of it, this is not the most inspirational appointment. But you sir have seen a lot worse events unfold in your dedicated support of the club. Give it some extra thought and lets see if we can squeeze a couple more decades of support out of you. Maybe this time next year.............
