He has a good command of English...Spaniards in the main don't care too much about ingles, they have sufficient global countries to ply their trade, language and culture with.

Some very telling comments at the end of this article.

"He's never there to insult somebody for no reason. He always says what he thinks and we have full trust in him as a team."

That last line in particular rather insinuates a particular German did the opposite, doesn't it..
