Kaiser chiefs "Let it be said Youre the manager for me Theres nothing more i need Rubeeene rubeeen rubeeeen"
I think Parkinson went straight in to management with Colchester? Selles gained far more experience within management teams before taking on a management role for himself so I think there's far more to it then the doing well in L1 comparison, for me anyway.
When it went belly up for Parkinson here, wasn't there an opinion that Geraint Williams was the brains behind Colchester's success, or am I imagining it?
Parkinson was a strange one, in that "on paper" it seemed a very good appointment, though I think some of his methods weren't accepted by some of his senior pros following years of relative success under Taylor. In fact his entire career has been a strange one being successful to a point but interspersed with failure at clubs with shall we say a slightly higher profile. I wouldn't say he was a 'poor' manager, but he probably is one of those who has a 'ceiling'.
True, but didn't his number two, Williams, do all the hard graft and we found out when Parkinson rocked up, here, without Williams, and was ****e. One of APs failures... Edit.....Referred to above...
We have had key injuries but so do other teams. I think the trouble is a lot of Norwich supporters think we have a god given right to be in the top 6
