Wilshere is looking pretty solid and he's saying the right things:
“I don't think we're that far away (from competing for the top six). You can see our attacking numbers this year and our outputs we've delivered there. I think we can be more secure when we attack to make sure we don't get transitioned on as part of so many things we can work on with this group, but I don't think we're that far away."

Agreed RER, Hassenhutl would be an interesting one for me but I think it’s likely to be Wilshere. The succession plan was JW after JHT, if he doesn’t get it now then I think he leaves and then you’ve effectively lost the first 2 managers in Knappers planning.
Leeds chairman has confirmed Farke will be their manager for PL next season so he’s not coming back
I'm happy for him. It would have been inhumane to sack him without giving him a chance after he has earned it.
Good luck to Daniel Farke. I'm sure he'll have more than £750k to spend this summer. Can't be many managers with three promotions from the 2nd tier under their belt. He'll be under a lot of pressure not to make it three relegations back down as well. Tough ask these days.
And champions of the championship on all three occasions. I think Colin W is the only other who has done three. Possibly.

Just seen on Pinkun social media channels that Ben Knapper has stated that Jack Wilshere will NOT be City's next head Coach as the club intends to make an external appointment.
Indeed I just read the article also, I think I am a little disappointed I had warmed to the idea. Ps Kio nice to know you are still about
On the face of it Wilshere is too young and lacks experience. Being Arsenal U18 coach is his only claim to fame. It will be interesting to how the squad react to this news.
Yeah I think it’s in the Athletic. Seemed likely, he had publicly stated he thought he was ready for the job, tough to go back to a coaching role at the club if the Sporting Director declares he’s not ready at this stage.
I loved Wilshere as a player and I like the way he talks and what he represents as a coach but I think it would have been a risk for Knapper. Any Head Coach is a risk but he obviously felt this was too big of a risk. I could potentially see Cifuentes or Hassenhutl
Can't say I'm enthusiastic about any of those. If I had to choose, it would probably be Steve Cooper.
