Aldi is decidedly middleclass their products keep winning awards. Their Gin has won the latest award beating Tanqueray and bombay sapphire in taste tests and its £9.99 a bottle. agree on Lidl though.

Tesco Finest Pinot Grigio £5.99 is fine, in Co-op the Fairtrade range (£6-£8) is good.

I worked for Foster's Group in Oz. They own ****ing loads of companies. They owned about 20 types of lager alone - apart from fosters

(They do own fosters just don't sell much down there)

They're fruit and salad is cheap as **** and decent too.

Well at least for those who use shops to gather food as opposed to hunting broccoli and aubergines.

I'm growing courgettes, carrots, onions, peppers and chillies this year. By the time they're ready to harvest the first of the autumn mushrooms and wild nuts and berries will be appearing. I'll spare a thought for your long-suffering and hungry children while I'm eating a hearty vegetable curry <ok>
