I just popped into the St Stephens shop to have a look as I was in town and I definitely won't be buying it but even if I liked it there's only a small chance I would buy it. Training gear looked good though.
Shop was busy but not rammed
I popped into Next to have a look at a shirt and I definitely won’t be buying it, but even if I liked it, there’s only a small chance I would buy it. Suits looked good though.
Can you see how utterly ridiculous your post looks now.

A throwback....... into the bin, me thinks....Not sure how the design got through the senior management team, but it did. It's far too retro for 2026 and the omission of the club crest is a seriously dropped bollock.
'the omission of the club crest'

The one that only came out in 1979? It's not like it's steeped in history. We managed to get through 75 years without it and another 4 years in the middle of then until now. I'm sure we can manage another year.

Not entirely true ...

The new kit had the same, a bright amber shirt with black foldover collar and a tigers head crest inside a large sewn on shield (the 1947 shirt was the first to feature a tiger head logo).

There's been several redesgns of the tiger head since, so yes it is steeped in history

I can see how you're trying to ridicule me but miss the point and look a bit stupid yourself.
When you popped into next was the stuff you were looking at representing your club? Can I also ask what's ridiculous judging something in person rather than an Internet image and posting those thoughts on all thread about such items?

As previously mentioned, the Tiger is a huge symbol in Asia, especially the Far East. There are perhaps two thirds of the worlds population residing there. Some of whom will watch the English Premier League, week in..week out. Yet City decide to drop the club emblem. Explain that one away.

The new kit isn't for me at all. It is very different but it just looks really old fashioned to me and I do get that is the intention.

What colour is the training kit? Is it really the colours they appear to be on the website?

It looks like the picture is in black and white?
I quite like them, but the whole page does genuinely look they’ve accidentally posted the photos in black and white <laugh>

Several of the redesigns of the tiger head have also been monstrosities.

Agreed but to suggest it isn't part of our history is wrong
Correct .
Club crests didn't really come in until the 70s prob due to the cost .
Apparently Leeds where the first team to regularly use one in the late 60s so you are correct saying that it's nonsense banging on about the long-term badge history

I went to Next, Slaters, Moss Bros and M&S to look at suits, yesterday.
Some looked great online, but awful in the shop. In fact some still looked great in the shop but they felt horrible to the touch.
I tried a couple on, but the cut was not too my liking.
And so it would be with the new first team shirt. I will see what it looks like in the flesh, but I don’t like it at the moment and don’t think that will change.
I didn’t buy Kappa, because although I liked the shirts, the cut wasn’t for me.

I am slowly going off the idea of wearing a football shirt now.

I want a good polo shirt, with excellent detail and just hints of Hull City.
Something to wear to games and to the pub when I go out. Sort of those who know, know, type of styling.

I would still like to see it before I spent my money though!

Same.
I fear we might be waiting a while though :emoticon-0112-wonde

1947 was the first time we used a tiger head on our shirt so well before the 60s and 70s

They are hardly going to drop their support of Man Utd ,Liverpool and Arsenal because we have a Tigers head on the shirt .
