I liked Mitre too! I cant remember much about my boots except for crap Golas and eventually i got a pair of Kenny Dalglish Pumas which I won in a competition in Match magazine, by the time i got them though my feet had grown and i couldnt wear them

The new kit isn't for me at all. It is very different but it just looks really old fashioned to me and I do get that is the intention.
What colour is the training kit? Is it really the colours they appear to be on the website?

They were so iconic in the late 60's early 70's, and cost ( from memory £18 a pair? in 1970) Could have been Army and Navy Stores on Carr Lane where, as lads, we used to go to see them. I say see them because we wouldn't afford to buy them. A mate of mine, now long departed, once tried a pair on them walked out of the shop with them on which took some nerve as you had to go down to the basement to try them on.
I used to borrow a pair on matchdays from a friend and take them back the after the game. Doc Martins were seen as part of the uniform of hooligans and my old fella would never let me have a pair even if I could have afforded to buy them. Talking school age here when owing a pair of 'air wear' Doc Martins was something we all aspired too.
Where I worked I was on lad's wages but if one of the blokes was off I took his place and got man's wages. It was a pretty regular occurence and it was very rare for me to draw just lads wages. Whenever one wnt on holidays I took his place too, so I knew I was gonna have two weeks mens money and because of this, I could afford to buy my DM's and more than one Ben Sherman shirt.

You say that, but the slagging off it got from many people on social media saying no one would buy it, shows that some people on social media need executing
I just popped into the St Stephens shop to have a look as I was in town and I definitely won't be buying it but even if I liked it there's only a small chance I would buy it. Training gear looked good though.

I saw this yesterday, it'll give a good idea. Before seeing it, I thought the training kit looked better than the shirt. I've changed my mind now, I think the opposite. In fact the shirt looks very much better than in the launch photos, which I assume is down to the photography and/or the posture/posing of the players

Agree with him, although not the best, it probably does look better in real life .... although still think it would work better with the amber stripes to black and vice versa.
