I think people are too hung up on the manufacturer and using it as a strawman, I have no issue with the manufacturer, I just think it's an average looking kit.

My issue with the manufacturer isn’t the brand name itself, or even how the logo looks. It’s the fact they’ve never operated at this scale before, the quality of their products is variable at best and their designs for other clubs (and now for us) are pretty terrible. I also object to them charging us more for our shirts than any other club they work with.

The fact that the deal was done between mates and not because it was the best deal commercially makes it even worse.

Sorry - to be clear I think it's an awful shirt, I'm suggesting that people are claiming people only dislike the shirt because of who the manufacturer is, and are dismissing any legitimate criticisms of the shirt.

Nobody should deny anyone legitimate criticisms of anything. It’s obviously fine to like or dislike it.

I think some people, including me, are just a bit tired of some hysterical fadges shrieking on global platforms about it. I think that makes the Club look far more naff than any new kit.

I think people get a bit too wound up about people talking on social media. I even saw something the other week where an account had done a poll asking whether people thought we should keep or sell players in the squad and someone replied saying "IMAGINE IF THE PLAYERS SAW THIS". Perish the thought people discuss things on social media.

People need to stop living in the past. We aren't going back to the previous one. I don't know why so many are so desperate for it just because of the association with a particular period of the club.
'People need to stop living in the past'???? But we are going back to a shirt first worn in 1974 and calling it retro?
Isn't that 'living in the past'? We will be running out to a Jethro Tull song next.
The facts are the mid 70's were a particulary bad time for the club. We dropped down the leagues, our crowds evaporated and we finished up in Receivership. To my generation this shirt represents those times.
But we are not the important ones. My youngest granddaughter thinks it is great and wants one, that is what is important. Not my view although I am entitled to it.
I honestly think it is a mistake to do away with the roaring tigers head crest. Maybe improve the tigers head by all means but don't bin it altogether. Other clubs would give their right hind leg to have a long established nickname like that. We should commercialise it for all it is worth, not disregard it and bin it off altogether.

Where did I say I liked the kit?
