People are more annoyed at what it represents.

It’s a kit designed for the Championship, on a deal that’s been undersold, made by a rugby kit manufacturer who’s mates with our COO.

It shows a complete lack of commercial acumen, ambition and fore planning, something that has plagued our commercial department for years.
Those voices in you head are making you say stupid things again, can you imagine the Adidas designer going right lads, make sure when you design the Tranmere kit make sure you use the fourth division template. Ffs

In all seriousness, a few slight adjustments would give it a passing grade:

- the Oxen badge was changed from white on ‘amber’ to black on ‘amber’
- the HCAFC badge was replaced with a tiger’s head (without the shield if they want to be more retro)
- the shorts were changed from white to black

It would still look a bit naff but it would also be more recognisable as a Hull City kit.
I tell Acun, I’m sure your invaluable input will sway him to scrap the kit and resign it to your ego

It's smart, simple and I like the retro look and collar. Not bothered about the lack of a tiger either (it's only a silly nickname) although a badge would have at least had our full name on to show to the world, that's probably my only gripe.
if the swipes were reversed and our badge on (i like our current badge)
i think id like it

The resolution of the photo is crap, if you go to the video on X, you can see the jacquard patterning on the black stripes better.

I wonder how big the queue is going to be at the St Stephens store tomorrow?
I’m guessing more than 100 before 9

Now don’t be silly, of course not every one likes it, but the outrage by some is truly laughable
the club rushed to get the information out yesterday after the kit leak it should have been revealed today radio humberside ad one of the guys from oxen on humberside sport tonight

Reading the replies since the reveal, I thought X, Twitter was bad, but you kit manufacturer shagging ****s take the biscuits, no doubt you all wear Stone Island or some other knobheads badge, as our mothers used to say, if you have nothing nice to say, shut the **** up you little ****.
Don't get the furore either, never been a shirter and only wear one for Wembley which I have to borrow. I don't mind the new one but a tribute to a late 70's shirt is a bit odd, not exactly a winning era for us or large numbers at BP buying that old Europa shirt and wearing it, city lads didnt wear shirts in the 80s, but I like the use of HCAFC and s lical company over the disappointing Kappa. Sort of looking forward to the 2nd/3rd shirt reveal now. UTT.

Not exactly sure what you’re getting at here?

If it’s about the kit being designed for the Championship, it’s pretty obvious that it was.

No club or kit manufacturer would go into the biggest league in the world using an obscure club crest that featured briefly 50 years ago, it’s such a wasted opportunity.

The kit was designed and signed off without a thought given to the chance of promotion.
