So he did, although I still remain skeptical on how measurable it is. Or how scientific that approach is. 18 people isn't a lot... And looking at existing teams doesn't really measure how much the color shirt helped. Is white commercially more profitable for example, did it help create wealth to buy more players. Is it just a coincidence? I mean Germany and Spain dominated by rich wealthy clubs that wear white. Are players psychologically more likely to want to play in white (meaning teams who play in white get first pick of players).
Bayern don't play in white. At most they have white stripes sometimes.

Don't know - all I know is that bright colours are easier to pick out than subdued ones.

It's not 18 people it's 18 analysts of games look for passing succesd

As mito pointed out, it was 18 volunteers conducting the first study ie assessing positionality. Not just using 18 young people, themselves playing some games or whatever you thought they were doing, The second study looked at 10 European teams over a period of 17 years. I’d say that gives a very good chance of coming to some decent conclusions. Team’s colours were determined a very long time ago, before money or advertising or selling replicas were ‘things’. We’ve seen recently the oil teams using their owners national flag colours for second or third kit choices but other than that, I can’t think that any sponsors etc. have demanded teams choose a certain colour for second and third strips. It’s mostly been determined by the kit makers.

Yes, I'm sure the impact of colour is not nothing. I'm sure there has to be some impact- but even so. I'm sure the data they collected was interesting and enough to draw conclusions from, but it's not scientific using the scientific method. Scientific method would be the only thing changing each time would be the colour of shirt so there is no outside influence and nothing else influencing result. There's simply too many moving parts in looking at existing teams playing to be able to conclude with certainty that colour is what is making the difference. Interesting exercise, and enough to perhaps start a scientific experiment to see if what they conclude from study is correct- but I don't think one can really tell for certain anything by looking at previous games other than, successful teams happen to wear certain colours.

Aren't you overthinking this a bit? All that was said originally was that brighter colours make players easier to see.

New away kit looks nice. Always like black colour kits.

Saying that I really like the turquoise training kit. All the different lfc badges in the background of the kit looks cool.

New white third kit - always love a white kit with red trim.

However the stupid vertical Nike tick is annoying.

Yeah looks nice enough. Not so sure about the yellow bits but otherwise fairly classic.

What's the reason for the vertical swoosh?

Nikes kit designer was drunk...

Not sure the reasoning, probably something along the lines of "people will notice its different and that will make them notice the brand more" or some other crap marketing psychology.

We're not the only ones though... Other clubs have Nike drunk-swoosh too.

No idea if official but

Andy Robertson added: "I really like it; I like the color and the detail on the shirt, especially with the Swoosh going up, which is a bit different. It's signifying the rise of the women's game and we're a big part of it to try to help that.

Yeah, looks like you're right. Though tbh it looks a bit like the swoosh has got an erection, which seems an odd way to honour the women's game.
