20% of net sales on everything we sell with Nike brand name on. I don't know how big the range is or will be but it will be a significant amount. Early sales are through the roof. My thoughts are that I would rather have had a bigger up front payment than rely on the fans to make the money for them by buying the stuff but nobody will be forced to buy anything. They knock out 3 new designs each season now, ultimately they are forced to do something different for the sake of it. I'll be more interested to see how much more money we do actually make out of the deal.
Underneath it all, the Liver Birds are made of copper, but I suppose the colour of verdigris doesn't sound quite so romantic.Like with the S Korean kit they looked into the history of S Korea not S Korean football and came up with a white tiger pattern. The white tiger having significant cultural meaning.
The explanation for the teal given by Nike is similarly cultural, if you like, in that it is the colour that 'represents Liverpool', the colour of the Liver birds.
Like the Statue of Liberty, the colour makes the Liver Birds more iconic. Nike could have just called it verdigris instead of teal as verdigris is an acceptable colour. Like you say though, it doesn't sound as romantic.Underneath it all, the Liver Birds are made of copper, but I suppose the colour of verdigris doesn't sound quite so romantic.

If you accept what they say about the colour choice - and there's no reason not to since they told the story about the choice on the launch - then it's quite a nice little touch.
The away kit is teal. I agree with you about having an all red home kit but it is only trim, had it been a horizontal stripe or something like that then that would be a big no.But they could have just made one of the second or third kits teal (or involve teal) instead, then it also keeps with LFC tradition of all red shirts with white (or gold to celebrate the PL win) trim

(My phone certainly doesn't like teal. I've typed it loads of times lately and my phone keeps changing it to real.)![]()

He was my favourite player at the time. I had fowler on the green and white one with black shorts (same season I think)Yeah, he is a twat
I was 16/17 in 95 I think, I'd be lucky to get leg into it now
On a positive note the new goalkeeper top is very pretty for next season.
