That is just ****ing ridiculous, the club needs to take a long hard look at itself charging that for a bairns kit
. Be interested to see what the likes of Sports Direct etc charge for our kit. I assume that our kit isnt just exclusive to SAFC and that it will be across other sports shops. The thing is people with 2 kids who want kits are screwed basically. And its for 1 season only
Found what i regard as my first issue with the new strip... please log in to view this image That font and gold looks disgusting
Yes I agree although I only have one to buy for. £10 ****ing for a pair of bastard socks ffs & 23 notes for a pair of black shorts I can get in ASDA for a twatting fiver. Nowt like the club screwing the fans is there? Well they can get tae **** the greedy ****s, I'm not paying for it in the club shop. Well done SAFC commercial dept, you've just earned Mike Ashley a few bob.
If Ellis spends the dosh in the transfer market then fine I can see why the prices would be so high if not then it's ridiculous to charge so much. Our season cards are reasonably priced so we gotta get the money from somewhere I suppose.
Do you seriously think that will be the case mate? Income from retail is poxy to a premier league club. It wouldn't buy Darryl Murphy's left leg man.
The daft thing is the home socks have been identical for the last three seasons, but people will still get pressured by their kids into buying them because it's part of the new kit.
78 quid for a bairns kit & then add on the price of the number, name on the back & the ****ing premier league badges. My old mother used to work for Cramptons in Stanley when they made our kit when we were with Hummel. 3 quid odd an hour & naff ****ing tat. It's even worse now because they took it to Vietnam & the probably pay those poor ****s 50p an hour. Do you really think the kit the players wear is the same as the **** you buy in the club shop?
Well, I've just been on ebay and got myself one of last years shirts for £15. The last one I had was the Reg Vardy 2004/05 top which I bought a year or two after that. I've no interest in paying over the odds just to have the current kit. If it's got red and white stripes on it and a Sunderland badge, it'll do.
Socks haven't changed since O'Neill was gaffer. Shorts hardly changed in that time either. Wouldn't buy new unless they have outgrown them Club should have a deal on for juniors. £35 quid for shirt. £50 for whole strip
Not sure it works like that - when I was administering for a solicitors in the NE who had a kit deal with a local club, the agreements were that the club receives payments from the supplier based on numbers of shirts sold and gains no income directly from an individual sale - the prices were set (back then - around 15 years ago mind) by the shirt suppliers not the club - may be different now like!
