I understand the point I just dont find it as much of an issue as you thats all. I just appreciate that this is the business the club is in and as Glam said it is an income generator that every club does. Why would we be any different?

Bap, I know what you're saying about every team does it, but that doesn't make it right. Americans have their rights to guns but I wouldn't want that here in the UK because it's what others are doing.
I have no problem with changing kits every season, but the cost is very expensive. I bet they're still making a profit off them when they sell the kit for £13 at the end of the season. For me I would say that £20 for an adult shirt would be fair.
Again, it should be about doing what's right and fair, not just about maximising profits at current market rates.
I don't know how many shirts are sold, but even if we sold 40,000 adult shirts assuming PL badges and numbers etc that comes to around £2.6 million. That's a tidy sum, but still dwarfed by the TV money. If that cost was halved, then £1.3 million is still a decent amount of money which I'm sure the club can easily live with.

Absolutely. Fans are being marginalised everywhere and a club like ours should be putting fans first wherever possible. Especially, as you say, when TV money obliterates anything made from shirt sales.
I agree Stereo it doesnt make it right (I would have used a less extreme analogy myself lol) but I get your point. Unfortunately at this level it is less and less about the fans and football and more and more about the business. The bottom line is as long as fans are prepared to but them clubs will continue to sell them. I suppose it just doesn't bother me as much as I dont feel the need to buy a new shirt every season. The only time I feel marginalised as a fan is when season ticket prices and single day match ticket prices change and in fairness the club has kept them the same. Basically a fan IMHO generally needs to but a ticket to watch the team but doesn't need to buy shirts, mugs, ties, keyrings etc etc.
Unfortunately, a plain Adidas football top costs between £20 and £30. A Swansea (or any other team) branded top will of course have to be more expensive.

I've got no qualms in going down the Liberty in any of my old Swansea tops. In fact, I prefer going to the Liberty in an old Swans top. Just wear your Swans tops with pride. From whatever season. It really doesn't matter.
