He is pulling no punches. Looks like they are ****ed now either way. If they go into admin in the summer I take it the points penalty starts from the championship?

That's assuming that someone on 900k a year will put the club into admin and almost certainly get themselves sacked (their contract is void under bankruptcy protection), rather than try to find a way to pay themselves 900k a year, for another year.

What choice will they have though? No season ticket money will force the boards hand.

Yeah precisely - they could try find a clean way out which doesn't involve admin, for instance try to get King to buy out existing shareholders at the market rate (which would also pay their contracts off), but King will just wait for admin to get the company on the cheap with no contract liability (I imagine that is exactly his motivation on calling for a ticket boycott).

He says he doesn't want his money to go to shareholders though. He has offered to fund a new share issue where he gets control which is about their only way out of this mess for both parties.

Seems dodgy that they say they will only publish the 120 day review after they have got the season ticket money in.

Why is this good news for Celtic fans?

Wont be as funny as the first time around, adds more years of completely pointless SPL, more years of Celtic board ripping the **** by not investing in the team because they dont need to, more years of just being happy to turn up and get pumped in the Champions League Group stage.

    Scottish game is done.

Rangers situation is an embarrassment to the country but dont see why we should be happy about it, competition is good and there is none just now.

Even if/when Rangers do get back to the SPFL, how long do you think it will be before they can compete with Celtic or any other club for that matter?

The league is ****e for Celtic but I doubt the rest of the clubs think things are worse, they get to fight for 2nd now instead of 3rd. I do miss competition in the league and I recognise Newco are the most likely to give us that, but that doesn't mean to say I'm going to cheer them on - we're bitter rivals, we enjoy when the other ****s up - that's entirely the point.

seems like poking the dead animal with a stick is all that is left and it got really boring a really long time ago

all that mattered in glasgow was bragging rights, you wanted to win the league because they wanted to win the league, was all about beating them but it becomes irrelevant when them is reduced to nothing

so now football doesnt matter at all, all about finding new ways to highlight how ****ed rangers are maybe to keep your mind off the irrelevance of it all now

the tragic and pointless act of supporting a sports team has now become even more tragic and pointless

    good day to you all

What a load of ****e Ed.

I don't give a **** if Rangers (Dead or Alive) are in the league. I want a game in this country where parity reigns, and that doesn't happen overnight.

Huns have been gone less than two season s and you're all ready to bend over, spread your cheeks and welcome them back for some "competition"

I'm sure Barcelona fans would pack it all in if Real Madrid went bust

Bayern Munich fans must have hated this year's competition

Wish I supported Man U now that the good times are gone

**** it....I want a club that has competition and is just about the football....Mon the Hibernians

Its different when its a quality product Mindy, like German Football, we are talking about Scotland here, you couldnt pay me to go and watch that ****e, id want a wage just to watch it on tv.

All we have is getting it up the huns and as I say, it doesnt have the same value when they are dead and can offer no fight back.

Its not about good times and bad times for us, we are a completely safe well run club, it should be good times but as I say, the game up here is stone dead.
