I'm not praising SAFC for the future appointment of a manager we can all get behind. Nor am I praising the.about the time scale as I've no idea what that is.

Yet some people are happily, and repeatedly, criticising the club on both counts ...

... as Terry said on the Likely Lads, 'Let's get our retaliation in first'.

Or, was it Danny Blanchflower who said...
...we have to equalise before they score

Hope you and yours are well Jimmy. That's not good about your house, I hope it wasn't my brother in law who built it :emoticon-0101-sadsm
Always well mate.
It was built by Australians to the best of my knowledge Monty. If your b-in-l used to live in the Barnes area then I might know him. There was a family from Sunderland used to live just up the road from us.

Yes we’ve only had since February, silly me.
Plus don’t forget “succession planning”, some of that spadework could have been done. And there are no guarantees that it reduces the risk unless you know the ins and outs. For instance a club could be down to their 3rd choice after weeks of meticulous planning.
Have not really had it since February because Speakman was hoping Dodds would come good therefore he could give the job to his mate Unfortunately, he failed miserably

.
Hi Jimmy
.
Welcome back
I was in Melbourne for 6 weeks in March and April and the weather was stunning. Best autumn for years they said.
Best not spend too long on here for your sanity's sake. Weeks of sh*te since Beale left here and otr.
Hope you get the house sorted and hope you and family are well.
Cheers Mr M. It’s actually nice to be back. Family are all good. We had a great spring summer and autumn here in WA.
The insurance company so far has been really good to be honest. We think we’re going to get our floor completely replaced through them.
Good job I wasn’t here for the Beale debacle although I did follow it on the Sunderland Echo!

If - If - Dodds and Proctor end up running pre-season then we're just adding more games onto all those we wrote off last season.

Simply unacceptable. You would imagine the crowd would be poisonous at that point.

Waiting for things to sour in the stands is storing up trouble if we end up with another poisonous atmosphere and a bunch of young kids playing in it.

I suspect you'd love that ...

... as it happens, even in tough times, the SOL crowd is never poisonous.

The away atmosphere is almost always good, that's because people are putting in their time, effort and money ...

... not just whining away on a chat forum when they could easily go to games.

How's he doing so far ...

... don't want to spoil the surprise but they sack him mate!

Tbf Smug I've been to at least a few poisonous atmospheres at SOL. Wigan being a standout off the top of my head

You talk a lot about optics and managing fans’ perspective and I agree with you but why do you think it doesn’t really happen?

Are the club quite arrogant and don’t really care/value it? Are we just not very good at it? Or is it just not viable when we’re dealing with variables that are outside our control (eg Still playing silly buggers) and it is considered that the backlash from u-turning on communications or things not materialising is more damaging than just saying nothing at all despite the frustration and vacuum it creates?
Speakman, as we all know is very arrogant loves to do interviews when praise is due goes into hiding when there is flack kicking about 3 1/2 years and zero playing style is a bit much plenty of number tens to sell on in the future but zero strikers for now I think this job is too much for Speakman
