I know some people at Hull really well. All coaches some in the club, not first team level and an ex player. I’m heading there today. They all like him, all rate him . Think the team are well coached, one thinks the best ever and they think he’s really savvy. A couple are fans but run community projects, others watch every game and are good at what they do and I trust their opinion. Also a proper nice bloke apparently.
Fair enough. I personally care about results and winning games - I don’t think he got enough out of that Hull squad and last season they had better players than we did imo.

Think they both said "understood" that we made contact with him, again covering all bases.

Sorry to be a pessimist but I'm not believing we are in for him until an actual journalist or trusted ITK says we actually are, rather than them just commenting on social media frenzy
I’m not just copying your posts by the way. You’re too quick/I’m too slow so I’m not seeing them until I’ve pressed post on mine.

There is no noise just the odd bit of rumour or speculation. The only noises really are the few fans who voice their opinions on social media.
The few fans are getting more each passing day with valid concerns that pre season will very soon be upon us though

At this stage I don’t believe anyone currently knows who our next boss will be. It’s concerning after how long it’s gone on…

And we've waited around for the knacker, makes us look like mugs. We should have moved on weeks ago. Just hope we get our head coach this week.

There was another snippet on Jansen in the Northern Echo yesterday, from Dominic Shaw:

https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/24367353.sunderland-interested-former-az-boss-pascal-jansen/

PASCAL Jansen is of interest to Sunderland and Black Cats chiefs have been in contact with the former AZ Alkmaar boss over the head coach vacancy at the Stadium of Light.

It's not known at this stage how talks have progressed and how likely the 51-year-old is to become Sunderland's next boss, but he's been on the club's radar since the process of finding a replacement for Michael Beale started back in February....

The Northern Echo understands Jansen was identified early as a candidate for the Sunderland vacancy and he's remained in the running while the shortlist of contenders has been whittled down.

Jansen's odds have tumbled in the last 24 hours and, as things stand, he's second favourite with the bookmakers. Will Still leads the way despite developments at the end of last week, when the 31-year-old performed a u-turn having previously indicated to Sunderland bosses he was set to take the job....

Welcome back, it must be quiet in sunny Perth :emoticon-0103-cool:
Cheers. Actually it’s not. It’s honking it down to the point that our roof has leaked and damaged the floor and ceiling necessitating our very first household insurance claim in 30 years.
That said, we had a great summer and autumn.
We’ll probably get all the repairs done before a head coach is appointed mind.

Pascal Jansen. That’s who I want to get the job now. Always wanted Steve Cooper but it was never happening.
I would take him over Will Still like, seems to have more experience and managed at the top clubs. If Will Still did come now I would be very worried with him dragging this on. As soon as something doesn't go his way here, I have the feeling he will throw the toys out the pram.
