I'd love Maric, but if I was a betting man it would be on Rosenior now. It's important that we act with haste now.
If Still was No.1 choice it would be odd to then go to Rosenior. I'm expecting a random name from the continent to appear in the coming days
KLD - so Will are you going to be head coach? WS - aye no bother mate KLD - sound ill send over the contract WS - silence. Anyway I'm not that arsed. I'll decide if I'm pissed off or not when we know who the new bloke will be. Life's to short to let SAFC piss you off

I think the truth is in there, but it depends on your outlook and agenda as to which end of the spectrum you gravitate to m8. The club knockers, (who do it for their own personal reasons), will say it’s the clubs fault he wasn’t tied down quicker, we’re too tight to pay what he demanded, we insisted on Dodds being a major player (now that’s a bizarre one imho), speakman has three sixes under his hairline, etc etc. the club apologists will say still broke his word and isn’t loyal, a new agent turned the debate, he wanted European football, the uv rate is too high for a ginger in the north east. Personally I don’t give a shiny ****e about the whys and wherefores, I just think we need a coach in in the next few weeks, a one who will get the best out of a potentially talented bunch of lads, then we can stop bickering and get behind whoever is appointed.
Put a fiver on Rosenior earlier. I think it'll be someone like him where they see Sunderland as the best they can get and will be happy to work under restrictions the club have for the head coach if it means they can be here. Quite like him tbh but would still be a bit underwhelmed to have wrote off a third of the season to end up with him.
Seems like magnus has sone real powerful friends in the media trying to convince us his info was right all along but Still had a change of heart at some point this week
We’ve waited weeks/months knowing this is going on before taking a side. How come other clubs don’t need 4 months to appoint a manager? If you want someone that badly you get him, it’s total naivety to think we’ve only had a few days to negotiate and a bigger fish have came in to steal our target. It’s always “we’re doing it the right way” or “we’re doing our due dillegence.”
I think we've missed the boat on Maric and I'm not sure who else would have been on the radar. Rosenior would have been on the shortlist if he wasn't at Hull when we started the search in my opinion.
There are also those that seem quick to bash the club, when these various press reports show that we don't really know what has happened
He must have agreed to the terms or they would not have sent him a contract. He received a better offer so backtracked.
the other similarity with all of those was they dragged and dragged. Neil clearly wanted a longer term contract after play off final and never got it. After he leaves Speakman claimed he offered him a new deal. Stewart was coming to final year and everyone knew it. Pritchard was clearly earmarked to be shown the door (hence Dack signing) but then it was spun that he forced the move. granted Pritchard and Neil could have left on better terms but it feels a repetitive thing that Speakman is causing people to leave on bad terms. It’s almost like he’s so bad to work with people would rather tarnish their own reputation in getting out we seem to have a habit of indecisiveness and stubbornness
