Absolutely no idea why it’s all getting dragged out or what the hold up is, but I still reckon it might be Still. I think it’s probably been close to agreement and then hit stumbling blocks, then got past those, then just hit some more. Probably totally wrong, but it’s obvious Still is our number 1 choice, and I reckon he wants to come, but the deal needs to be right, so everything getting about in the press is just the club and Still playing games with each other.

Wishful thinking probably.

As long as we get the right appointment tho, that is the key - no matter how long it takes

The club might have wanted to wait until the end of the European season (when most leagues finish) as more managers will be available (both in n out of work)

None of us know exactly what happens, the most important thing is appointing the right manager and if that has meant its taken a few extra weeks then so be it
I disagree tbh. If the club had a set in stone playing style then i'd agree but we wait and let the coach do it which means we can't exactly start transfer business, and if we do i'd be sceptical of how them players fit. Other championship clubs are signing players now. I wanted us to be active in the free agent market and we just aren't, and if we are how do them players fit?

You wouldn’t ordinarily interview the assistant anyways?
Surely you would? Otherwise it’s a case of “ yeah no worries, if you say he’s the man that’s fine”. I know football is not like other jobs but surely there has to be some selection scrutiny for anyone employed.

Exactly how I feel. That’s why the longer this drags on, the more frustrating it becomes. This summer is huge in terms of players coming in, and out tbh.

Thorup at Norwich, Luka Elsner about to get the Reims job, Bo Svensson at Union, Maric getting the Bayern assistant job rules us out, Jimmy Thelin was appointed Aberdeen manager for next season in April I wanted him when he was linked after we sacked Mowbray.
Do you reckon? I'm not convinced. Would mean we'd have to pay compensation to get him though.

Imo won’t be Still too many reports in France saying its pretty much done with Lens

will be rosenior or heckingbottom both would be tragic

I’ve never believed Still would be our next head coach, if you look at our recent appointments it’s pretty obvious it’ll be someone prepared to work within the current setup.

The link to Wicky out of nowhere should reassure people a little that there's loads of good coaches out there (names that haven't occurred to people)....
The default options don't have to be those two.
