I do NOT only post negativity. I only want what’s best for SAFC.

I don’t necessarily have a preferred name, just an appointment that goes with our owner’s supposed ambition for our club.

An appointment that most would be exited about, not like MOST posters are feeling about BEEL.

IMO BEEL comes no where near fitting into that category. In fact, I would say it’s a lazy cheap option.

Sorry I think the bloke is a chancing cockney spiv, and if he is appointed I think I’ll be proved right.

Bart
So you slag the club saying its a lazy cheap option but you cant name 1 person who you would want as manager

Spot on with what you’re saying @Smug in Boots and not a gripe with anyone personally but a lot of people chime in with what we need then offer no ideas.
I’ve still to this day not heard a single viable suggestion for the “proven” striker people want. If we signed a load of championship plodders in the summer I guarantee people would’ve been fuming - I know I would’ve.

Arguing against what's happening is risk free compared to stating what people believe is a better option ......

... water, like piss, always takes the easiest course.

To sack a manager that the players had a huge bond with and the majority of fans an affinity and then have no plan in place other than Beale is absolutely disgraceful imo, and we cant pretend its not, even the most optimistic of fans must agree this just does not sit right at all.

Did he though? He had his favourites and picked his team based on that. These players weren’t Mowbrays and the only players signed under him he’s frozen out with every excuse in the book. Personally I thought it was a bit embarrassing the whole “uncle tone” crack and the eating of sweets all the time.

Why sack Mowbray then??? Theres none available we were struggling but sacking him for a lesser manager just because theres no better available is an amateurish way to run a club imo

If he's going to be hands on coaching, where would it leave Doddsy?
Presumably back doing what he was doing before. We've lost out head coach (Mowbray) and assistant head coach (Venus). We've promoted from within to temp fill the head coach role with Dodds so we are 2 positions short atm. The new bloke will bring in an assistant imo and then we will be back to normal in terms of numbers.

I think we all know why Mowbray was sacked.

If you're not sure, read his post-match comments after the Millwall game

Mowbray spent the majority of his time with us with no Stewart, no Cirkin the sicknote hardlys and zero CBs going into May last season. He did not deserve to be sacked at all unless we had a top managerial replacement.

Which is what ... come on, post something positive.

Every summer signing bar Jobe. How many starts do they have between them? Ba and Bennette? Bennette was the exact same as Rusyn, the language barrier crack straight away. How come no other club needs to give players a year to learn the language?

He was playing the same team most weeks no matter what the result previously. The best managers in the world don’t watch their team get sh*gged by teams at the bottom of the league consistently and refuse to change it. Players get comfortable knowing they’ll be in the team whether they perform or not and this is what happens.

Mowbrays record at Sunderland is actually worse than Beales was at QPR so make from that what you will. His record in Scotland with Celtic was also shocking compared to Beales with Rangers. He’s just not a great manager he was a steady pair of hands and we were on a decline the writing was on the wall. We had nothing to lose by getting rid of him we wouldn’t have gone up this season if we kept him.

Reading this I'm surprised how many are saying they were disappointed at the time with the Neil appointment.
I thought it was a brilliant appointment for what he had done at Norwich and Preston plus to get him to drop to league 1.

I think Johnson was a good appointment for the fact of where we were.
And both turned out to be the right appointments at the right time.

Don't know much about beale but reading some of the stuff online he likes a rigid back line with 2 in front and a free flowing front 4, I think we've got the players to provide that here, up to him to show he can coach them effectively to get results. That's how he'll be ultimately judge not on whether his press conferences are good or not.

So what you're saying is that the club are bringing in a man who's respected by some of the top players for being a top coach looking to fill our head coach role?

That we need experienced first team players to play alongside the kids that we are developing to sell on further down the line

I believe we're bringing in players to help us progress primarily ...

... any future financial benefit is a bonus, not the aim.

If KLD wants a return on his investment a Post Office Savings Account would be a better option.

Hes far from great i agree but alot more experienced than Beale and had a bond within the squad. Was that worth ending for Beale??

Still not sure what you mean about freezing players out? Bennette has been injured and all our strikers were given game time?

Dodds said he wasn't doing anything different apart from media duties so assumed he was doing most of the coaching when Tone was here.
